It says that the new album is almost completed already, and might be out sooner than everyone thinks!

 

What does everyone think about this? Could it just be a rumor? I still think even with this article that it won't be out till late 07 anyway, but who knows?

Yea I dont know. I always hear music news about bands where " the cd is almost done and will be out soon" , which translates to like a 9-12 months from then.

Even if it is true, it probably still has to go through final mixing, and manufacturing, and the whole marketing campaign, and all that other stuff that can take months and months.

 

Debs just said in the q&a that it wouldn't be out till 2008. *shrug*

 

I'm still hoping that the South American tour is where they're planning to fine tune the songs before they do the final recording. I think it might add something interesting to the songs to have them played live like that first.

 

But who knows...

good news to counter my bad news of today: i got deferred from a college i thought i was a shoo-in to.

wow, i really hope this is true. I want this more than anything! but, seeing as how its the Daily Star, i'm a bit hesitant, anyone have any other sources for this.

On the Coldplay's official site, a question was raised a few days ago: "Will the band release a new album this year?"

And Debs said...

"No (it's in the pipeline for next year but no scheduled date as yet.)"

^aw, crap. well, these things can change, right? there's a glimmer of hope. and there might be a tiny tiny shred of truth to it?
