March 3, 200719 yr Here's a ladder to the sun ! ht_tp://rapidshare.com/files/19167734/Coldplay_-_Ladder_To_The_Sun_1_.pdf.html just change the link.
March 4, 200719 yr hello I have a few questions for all you piano-playing people in this thread. I've been playing guitar for a while now, but I would like to get to know the piano too. What I would really like to play are Coldplay, U2 and Billy joel songs...and some selfcomposed stuff. But now, I have to find a piano/e-piano/keyboard.... What I would like to have is a good keyboard with a good piano sound build in...and some small enhanced features...but, it should be kept simple. Now, for my questions: - If I wanna play "piano" on the keyboard, will I need 88 keys?? - Which type of keyboard or e-piano do you think is good to start with, but still has a good sound...? Since I don't have a lot of money...I want to try to get a occasion I hope someone can help me thanx aad
March 4, 200719 yr I would reccomend something like this Yamaha YDP 223 digital piano, And yes if you want to play piano, you need 88 keys. If you just get some cheap keyboard, there won't be 88 keys, and the keys will be lighter, more close together, and will require less effort to play the keys than a Piano. In essence, playing a keyboard is not the same as a keyboard.
March 4, 200719 yr thanx Corey07 for the fast respons....I'll look for a 88 key keyboard....or a e-piano... but, I will not be able to afford that Yamaha....has anyone got a cheaper suggestion???
March 6, 200719 yr yamaha p-70 is the cheapest e-piano by yamaha for about 700$. but my music teacher said, that the sound is okay if you play in a band, but for piano solos it sounds not too good. i think i will buy an yamaha p-140 for about 1200$, maximum of money i can invest. anyone has experience with that e-piano?
March 6, 200719 yr I have a Yamaha P-140. It has 3 different piano sounds (standard, bright, mellow) with 3 different sub-sounds (again, bright, normal, mellow). It has Church Organ, Jazz Organ, Cello, 3 different electric sounds, a few reverbs. You can record your playing and transfer it to your computer through MIDI. It doesn't really sound like Chris Martins keyboard, but it gets you by. It also has a sustain pedal.
April 2, 200719 yr Author ^it's not a dumb question. i'd be afraid that someone would take it too. maybe face the camera away from your hands, coz if someone's that much of a loser that they would steal someone else's work from youtube, they probably aren't talented enough to learn things by ear. ;) Yeah that's a good idea, I would do that if you really what to put it on YouTube.
April 2, 200719 yr Author I play Clocks a little differentley than most, I start with the live intro reserved for keyboard but I play it on the piano, then i start into the main chords of clocks. I then play on the piano in the left hand what Guy is playing on his bass, in the right i play the vocals. I do it quite fast, keeping it sounding like the oringinal. Sometimes i take out the vocals and concentrate on the instrumental version instead in both hands. Then i end it like the album version. Its hard to explain, so i'll try in upload it on youtube. Sounds Sweet. If you do upload it, can you please tell me. I would love to hear it.;)

Since I don't have a lot of money...I want to try to get a occasion I hope someone can help me thanx aad Ok so my Music Teacher at school has a very nice Yamaha keyboard (don't know what kind, but she said it is over $1,000) it is very good piaon sound. Now you don't need 88 keys to play piano. My keyboard that I have only has 61 keys (I Think). It is CASIO and I got it for over $100. Now I am going to key a $500 one soon, but if you want a starter keyboard I would get this one. Its got a great piano sound. But the only thing I would do to get the best sound out of it is put a foot pedal into it or a mic. It works and sounds great. Hope it helps:)
