What pedal effect does Jonny use in Daylight? It seems quite special

I love it wen Jonny uses the Ebow...sounds so cool..and it looks so cool as well.

Yeah, it's definitely not an Ebow. He has to pluck the strings you know.

maybe a slight delay.. i question that though

Nevertheless, I still like the Ebow....looks so awesome.

He's normally using a couple of Line 6 Delay units too.

Johnny uses an ebow on spies and amsterdam. I know those 2 for sure. im not too sure about others.

He also uses an Ebow on...Swallowed in the Sea...I think?...also..I'm not sure, but on the LIVE2003DVD, he might've used an Ebow for the start of AROBTTH.

well, take away the strings that are following the same part that Jonny plays and you'd be able to hear that the guitar probably sounds a lot more "normal" than you think.

Yeah, a lot of their effects are strings and synth. In the tab book it says indian strings though, whatever that means.

In this instance I think it's a reference to the arrangement of the string parts, the way the notes slur and the actual scale used. It can be identified in the west as a common Indian musical cliché

Also you have to take into the account of the guitar he is using to play this song. He uses a 12 string Rickenbacker. That contributes probably the most to the tone he gets in the song.
