Take a Chance

Featured Replies

I dont do this enough anymore god damnit, my joyous youthful ideas are being left behind and I'm becoming dry and stale like a digestive biscuit.

Its just hit me quite suddenly I mean, hell, risks can leave to a bit of anxiety in the short term future, but am I going to remember some mistake I made 2 months or 10 years ago? Its all seeming a bit ridiculous.

Fuck it, I'm asking out the librarian.

Who takes chances around here? Lets raise our fists like vikings

I took a chance by making this thread. And nobody cares.

Im very sad :( Nobody ever take chances.

I once took my chance and it all ended up breaking my finger. So now I just like, sit and wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. And then - ta-tda - here it is. You can read something nice while waiting which is definitely a plus, too.

Sometimes you stay in a situation because it's what you know and the unknown is scary. A couple of times I've said fuck it, walked away from my job, home, family and friends and started over somewhere else. Can't find someone to go somewhere with you, fuck it, go alone and make the most of it.

I say ask her out, could be the greatest move of your life. You'll never know unless you try.

boooo I suck at taking chances :disappointed: I'm such a coward :bigcry: :bigcry:

I wish I had better self-esteem, then I'd might take a few more chances once in a while

I have always thought that i take chances.

But now when i think about it..i really don't..and it obviously makes me sad.

Meh, but only i can change that

I definitely take chances. I've done the same as Angie in the past. And being a musician if one full time risk, lol. If I hadn't taken a chance last july we wouldn't have How We See The World now. DO IT!!!

When I think librarian I think old woman haha.

Same here...with thick glasses and her hair in a bun. I'm guessing Reilly wouldn't ask that type out though,lol.:laugh3:

haha, thats maybe why its such a chance.

Why not?

I mean, haven't you seen all those movies?

And no, i'm not talking about porn :uhoh:

But seriously, they always get the coolest guys.Well at least sometimes

Which Library?

Is Reilly even in Newcastle any more?

Haha, do you mean you could know the librarian?

I recommend not to go and hit on the same girl. Just in case

Noo. I mean, if he's in Newcastle I will know the library, and can thus find the girl, just for curiousity sakes.

And to post a picture of her on here? At Reilly's discretion.

I'm going to take a chance and ask my bffe dude to be my prom date.

I hope I can muster up the courage.:scared:

I think I take some chances... at least when it comes to the dating departament.

I think I just cant live with that 'what if' thing... I just always end up trying to make the guy understand that I want to be with him... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. and it kinda sucks when it doesnt, but at least I know for sure that it's not worth to keep trying and hoping...

I'm a wimp when it comes to chances... I have to overanalise everything. But then every once in a while there is something that I want so bad I take all kinds of crazy chances for it, like when I really, really, really wanted to go to Ireland with some people I knew. The crazy thing is that it worked.

^ I was convinced in grade 11 I was going to see U2. I couldn't get tickets but I was going to try everything to see them in Ireland. I did end up going to Boston after I found some kind fans on the internet...now that was a chance mailing $100 USD to somebody I never met.

I took a huge chance going to England last year. I had barely enough money, and even had to busk for cigarette money once,.lol. I only knew one person there, but I made alot of great friends. It was well worth taking the chance.:D

Haha, posting a picture of her would be fine, but how you'd take it and what you'd ask about me may be a different story.

It was in Fenham, the only time I've been in that library but she used to work in City library before it closed. I used to use it a bit last year and shes from somewhere fairly near me back in Ireland so we had a bit to talk about.

To be honest, very little, and my excuse to talk to her about books was pretty lame and didnt go anywhere. She recognised me from city library though.

Briggs thats what the appeal is, she should be the old greying bun in hair type like some of the women in there but shes megaaaw.

So I didnt ask her, and unless Im ever waiting for 2 hours for a friend in Fenham again I doubt I'll be back there.

At least it was a 'chat'

Is that library still open?!

I used to go to Primary School a few streets away from there. It's also next door to the pool where I learned to swim :D

I might pop in next time I'm in the area. I'll take a picture of you Reilly and say "hey, you recognise this guy?" and whilst I'm distracting her, my friend whom I bring along with me will be able to take multiple photos (with no flash on the camera, for ninja stealth reasons) of each possible view of her face and body.

Yes. Good plan, no?

*pumps fiat in air*

Reilly Reilly Reilly!!

how the hell are ya?
