O'Reilly's Foxing Of Facts Knows No Bounds

What torture? What dead Iraqis? What protests? What war?

Bill O'Reilly's pathetic attempts to counter Sunsara Taylor of anti-war organisation "The World Can't Wait" on his show this week again reveal how Fox News and other Neocon media outlets like it exist purely to silence anyone who criticizes the Bush Administration on any issue.

O'Reilly exposed his own agenda to simply denounce everything any critic ever says as being wrong or untrue, by suggesting that Ms Taylor claimed the government has tortured children by crushing their testicles. O'Reilly went on to denounce Taylor as an unpatriotic and accused her of slander.

It was clear to anyone with half a brain that Taylor was referring to comments previously made by Bush attorney John Yoo, co author of the PATRIOT ACT and various controversial torture advocating memos.

During a debate in Chicago with Notre Dame professor and international human rights scholar Doug Cassel, John Yoo gave the green light for the scope of torture to legally include sexual torture of infants.

Cassel: If the president deems that he’s got to torture somebody, including by crushing the testicles of the person’s child, there is no law that can stop him?

Yoo: No treaty.

Cassel: Also no law by Congress — that is what you wrote in the August 2002 memo…

Yoo: I think it depends on why the President thinks he needs to do that.

When Ms Taylor referred to Yoo's comments however, O'Reilly demanded to know "what small child was that," badgering her for a name or other specifics, when clearly she had not said it happened, only that Yoo had stated that it could if Bush ordered it.

O'Reilly foxed the facts further still from reality in a later segment, asking Kirsten Powers if she thinks it's patriotic to go on national TV and accuse the government of mashing a baby's testicles? O'Reilly started to tick off on his fingers 1. she doesn't know who the baby is, 2. she didn't see the baby's testicles being mashed, 3. she can't produce the baby or the baby's name, clearly attempting to suggest that Taylor was making the entire scenario up along with everything else she said.

Sunsara Taylor IS displaying patriotism by raising this issue because she was attempting to alert brainwashed FOX viewers to the fact that the John Yoo and the Bush Administration have clearly advocated genocide against American citizens.

Yoo argues presidential powers on Constitutional grounds, but where in the Constitution does it say the President can order the torture of children? Georgetown Law Professor David Cole has written, "Yoo reasoned that because the Constitution makes the President the 'Commander-in-Chief,’ no law can restrict the actions he may take in pursuit of war.

On this reasoning, the President would be entitled by the Constitution to resort to genocide if he wished."

Last September the Senate officially gave President Bush the legal authority to abduct and sexually mutilate American citizens and American children in the name of the war on terror when it passed new detainee legislation.

So in his attempts to FOX these facts, O'Reilly is covering up abuse of power at the highest levels.

O'Reilly also seemed to suggest that there has never been any evidence of the US using torture on prisoners, asking "what torture?" and demanding that Ms Taylor name names.

When she cited verified examples of rendition and US torture, such as in the case of Maher Arar, who has said he was chained and shackled by U.S. authorities for 11 days for interrogation and then flown to Syria, where he was tortured and forced to make false confessions, O'Reilly simply responded with "do you believe that man"?

Clearly the Canadian government believed him, an official inquiry determined that Arar indeed was tortured before clearing him of any terrorist links or suspicions.

When Ms Taylor raised the issue of torture at Abu Ghraib, O'Reilly raised his voice and asked "who ordered Abu Ghraib?" clearly in the hope that Ms Taylor would not be able to respond, to which she did by citing the sworn testimony of Former U.S. Army Brigadier General Janis Karpinski, that torture came from the very top. O'Reilly then bizarrely responded by asking Taylor to "show him the documentation", to which she replied "you are supposed to be the reporter".

Before this O'Reilly had questioned the number of Iraqi civilians killed during the war, citing the UN figure of 59,000 and questioning Ms Taylor's referencing the 600,000 figure from The Lancet, which is considered to be one of the 'core' general medical journals.

Fox watchdog website

News Hounds hit the nail on the head stating:

O'Reilly scoffed and dismissed it as "far left," his answer to anything that proves him wrong. Taylor could have backed up her figure with the October 2006 confirmation from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, which says:

Updated Iraq Survey Affirms Earlier Mortality Estimates

Mortality Trends Comparable to Estimates by Those Using Other Counting Methods

As many as 654,965 more Iraqis may have died since hostilities began in Iraq in March 2003 than would have been expected under pre-war conditions, according to a survey conducted by researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Al Mustansiriya University in Baghdad. The deaths from all causes—violent and non-violent—are over and above the estimated 143,000 deaths per year that occurred from all causes prior to the March 2003 invasion

O'Reilly then also asked why no one was protesting the Iraq War, despite the fact that in the last week hundreds of thousands have poured onto the streets all over the country to protest.

What torture? What dead Iraqis? What protests? you almost expect O'Reilly to ask "What war? Show me documentation to prove there is a war".

O'Reilly concluded by calling Sunsara Taylor "hysterical" and stating "You are simply a woman who doesn't know what she's talking about".

O'Reilly and his ilk serve no purpose other than to bolster the criminality of Neocon Whitehouse regime by silencing government critics regardless of the issue. They baselessly deny the reality of any provable fact or event in order to pass over any controversial issue with the pretence that they have done their duty as reporters and covered it.

This is your mainstream media, happy to serve government illegality and thus aid the destruction and degradation of the country.

Bill O'reilly is probably the saddest excuse for an american if i have ever seen one. He is on the same platform as Rush Limbaugh. They are both absolute Self infatuated scum who dont give a shit about anyone but themselves and the people who fund them.

on top of that he's not even smart, he blatenly refuses to believe facts when they are presented to him, while he will present other "facts" or spin the words around and try to bully the other person into submission.

That is what it has come to, when people just disreguard facts because it doesnt agree with what they said. And look when she says that there were lies about WMD's he doesnt even disagree he simply asks "Well was Clinton lying?" heres a good answer, EVERYONE WOULD HAVE AGREED WHEN YOU MANUFACTURE THE FUCKING INTELLIGENCE TO SAY THAT THERE ARE WMD's!!! WHEN YOU CLAIM YOU HAVE HARD EVIDENCE TO PROVE THAT THEY ARE THERE, WHY WOULDNT EVERYONE AGREE!!! thats the lie, not the fact taht we went, the fact that they basically made up the evidence to suggest WMD's and then when someone accuses them of lying, they basically say "well you believed us!"

ABSOLUTE SCUM:veryangry2::veryangry:

I totally agree. Bill O'Reilly is a complete waste of space. I get physically angry when I see him spout his ignorant mouth off at people who are more true Americans than it seems he will ever be - and I'm not even American.

I guess it's because it's about our survival as free people - all of us. Bill O'Reilly and others like him are all going to lose the war.

I mean, Sunsara Taylor tells Bill of the comments by John Yoo....

And what does O'Reilly say?

He said.."what small child was that" and "you don't even know the child".

She DIDN'T say that there was an actual child!! She was trying to make the point that this is the type of people we are dealing with and that torture IS used by the US.

And I would put my life on the fact that most countries use torture.

Another thing O'Reilly always says is "the nutty far left". I mean if I was to say I hated Dick Cheney and Rumsfeld because I believe them to have committed serious treason and crimes against humanity - O'Reilly just says "Look at all the hate in the far left kooks" WHAT?!?! OF COURSE I HATE THEM...FOR THE VERY REASONS I JUST SAID. He must think everyone is an idiot and just agrees with him.....It seems the amount of denial he is in should cast doubts about his mind.

Oh, O'Reilly gets me mad.

Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Newt Gingrich - All pure sub-human media scum. Just to name a few.

dont forget Ann Coulter, one of the absolute lowest of the low

Right - man, I think she must be the most disgusting woman in political media.

I actually saw that episode.... caught the tail end of the interview.... he's a fuckin nobhead...

I hate him. Not because he's a neocon or whatever.. just because he's a hypocritical asshole who likes to jabber.... complete nob.

Thing is now - the civilian death toll estimates by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and UK Medical Journal The Lancet have now apparently been accpeted by the government - or at least our government (UK).

I was given this information today but oddly I haven't seen this on any news.

Now The Lancet is the world's leading independent general medical journal and they estimate that there have been more than 654,965 excess Iraqi deaths as a consequence of the war.

So, Bill O'Reilly shouldn't just ignore these findings completely, like he does. I mean the UN (waste of space) say that the deaths are at 53,000. I mean that's one hell of difference - But since 53,000+ is far too many anyway (based on the illegal nature of the war) O'Reilly should understand that both figures are disgusting.

I mean it really looks like there might be at least around 600,000 excess Iraqi deaths.

It's beyond sick.

Bill O'Reilly Suggests Throwing Mark Cuban in Jail

Saturday, March 31, 2007

Bill O'Reilly suggests that had someone like Cuban attempted to distribute a film like Loose Change during World War Two, FDR would have "thrown his butt in jail".

O'Reilly then whines about how people like Cuban, Sheen and O'Donnell should not be given any airtime or attention, whilst this is his third or fourth segment on the same issue.

O'Reilly lies and suggests The View is losing viewers when in reality it has gained 600,000 new viewers since O'Donnell took the helm. Geraldo then argues for free speech whilst still suggesting a controlled demolition of WTC7 is "ludicrous".

Yeah, O'Reilly is a one trick, name calling, no fact debating pony.

I'm sure people must be able to see he's not at all 9/11 aware and just shouts about "the enemy are going to use this". yeah, Bill, versions of this film have been translated and are all over the world via the Internet....and have been for years.

I'm sick of his "if you are against what I think you are a far left liberal nut-job" stance he seems to think is normal.

Listen out for all his mis-quotes too. Just makes them up and places them in whenever he feels like it.

He's over.

O'Reilly's America: Who Is The Real "Hater"?

A place where the right to disagree = the right to be locked up

Steve Watson

Infowars.net

Tuesday, April 3, 2007

Bill O'Reilly's torrent of attacks upon Rosie O'Donnell, Charlie Sheen and Mark Cuban over the past few days in regards to their outspoken views on 9/11 is a prime example of why the First Amendment should never be presided over by those in power.

In what has been described by many as a crude attempt to piggyback on the spiking of viewers to O'Donnell's show The View, O'Reilly has gone on the extreme offensive, suggesting that O'Donnell has "crossed a line" and should reprimanded for being a "hater".

In two separate broadcasts on Fox News yesterday O'Reilly mentioned the word "hate" close to one hundred times when talking about O'Donnell. Here are a few samples:

Under the graphic Helping the enemy - "Americans Always turn away from haters, that's exactly what Ms. O'Donnell has become."

In segment with Michelle Malkin - "You go over a certain line in America, you can't come back from it, you start to sympathize with the enemy, Iran, there's no coming back."

"She's not interested in the truth, this is about hatred and that's why I think Disney's got a big problem here. This woman now has crossed the line into the hate territory, there has never been a successful media person in the history of this country that has crossed the line into hate, there are niche people on talk radio, very few on television here, they're wiped out, but on her blog, in her demeanor of television, she is now a hater and Disney is gonna have to deal with it somehow, I think"

In a segment where O'Reilly explains to us what media fairness and balance is all about - "We think we have crossed a line into the hate arena... The problem is once you get into an area where you are spreading propaganda, which is where she is with the 9/11 conspiracy and the British government set up its own people to be kidnapped, once you get into that absurd area, the company you work for has to say, this is her opinion, but here is another opinion to balance it out that may be sane."

On ratings - "I'm not interested in numbers, I'm interested in protecting Americans from hateful comments and protecting our forces overseas. When someone does what O'Donnell is doing, this is used by our enemies all over the world because her transmission goes all over."

"Rosie O'Donnell has now crossed into anti American territory, she hates this government, the Bush administration, and she is using that hatred, she is venting her venom, for whatever reason, I am not a psychiatrist, and she is damaging the country in doing so.... Surely you can't allow someone to come on the air everyday and vent hateful dishonest propaganda, you just can't do that."

On debating O'Donnell - "I will never go on the View while she is there because I will not go up against a hater like her."

O'Reilly also had some choice words for Charlie Sheen - "If Charlie Sheen puts his name on a 9/11 conspiracy documentary, that will be used by every American hater in the world to tell uninformed people, 'you see Al Qaeda didn't carry out the attack on 9/11, the Americans attacked themselves, the Jews did it, OK, that kind of stuff."

In a concluding moment on The Factor, O'Reilly stated: "No one has control over O'Donnell, and that's what ABC's conundrum is". That is not a conundrum Bill, that's called living in a free country.

O'Reilly also reminded viewers of his recent "radical" "far left" guests, Sunsara Taylor and Rocky Anderson (whom he also throws into the "haters" category with O'Donnell) showing clips of each telling absolute truths that are unflattering to the Bush administration. O'Reilly is so afraid that his viewers might actually further research these foreign viewpoints that he spent considerable time after each appearance misquoting and slandering his guests, a real coward's technique of debate.

O'Reilly's standpoint is that O'Donnell et al are not merely exercising their unalienable right to free speech, they are preaching hate. O'Reilly believes that O'Donnell and "her radical pals" are telling the world the USA is a criminal nation and are somehow "aiding the enemy" whomever that may be this week.

O'Donnell, Sheen, Anderson, Taylor, and myriad others are doing no such thing, they are in fact doing the exact opposite in taking on a provably corrupt and criminal Bush administration by encouraging the American people to question their government in an effort to protect American values and further prevent the spread of anti American hatred elsewhere.

O'Reilly waxes lyrical about how two sides of any issue should always be presented but in O'Reilly's America, he would have O'Donnell taken off the air immediately and he would have Mark Cuban "thrown in jail".

In O'Reilly's America anyone who calls into his radio show in disagreement would receive a visit from Fox security and have their information turned over to local law enforcement agency.

In O'Reilly's America anyone grabbed, labeled an enemy combatant detained without trial at the government's behest should be immediately executed.

In O'Reilly's America there would be no academic freedom Any professor in disagreement with the US government would be " investigated by the FBI" or "followed 24 hours a day by the CIA" as Sammy Al-Arian and the 9/11 Scholars have found out.

In O'Reilly's America anyone who criticizes the espoused pro-torture policy of the government is unpatriotic.

This is Bill O'Reilly's America, a place where the right to free speech and protest is the right to be reported to the authorities, publicly branded a "hater" and locked up.

Hypocrite O'Reilly Milks Rosie "Feud" To Rescue Failing Show

Abandons rhetoric of ignoring "lunacy" to exploit brief ratings surge

Paul Joseph Watson

Tuesday, April 3, 2007

Despite calling for the whole issue to be marginalized little over a week ago, hypocrite Bill O'Reilly has decided to throw his weight behind creating a feud with Rosie O'Donnell in a desperate attempt to boost ratings for his failing Fox News show.

During a radio interview with billionaire Mark Cuban on the Friday March 23 broadcast of O'Reilly's Radio Factor show, O'Reilly argued that the 9/11 truth movement should be marginalized and that "lunacy shouldn't be given legitimacy" by affording it any attention. Yet since that broadcast, O'Reilly has given Rosie O'Donnell's 9/11 stance prime coverage on no less than three more occasions alone on his TV show and also discussed it further on his radio show.

If this is how O'Reilly defines not giving something attention, then we have to wonder what he would have done had he really pushed the issue! Renamed his show the O'Donnell Factor?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWbZz3Tvz0U

The pathetic truth of the matter is that Bill O'Reilly is attempting to manufacture a feud with Rosie O'Donnell because he knows O'Donnell has viewers and he doesn't.

ABC's The View averages over twice as many viewers as O'Reilly's show, reaching a total of around 30 million viewers throughout the course of the entire show. O'Donnell has introduced 600,000 new viewers since she took the helm in September 2006.

O'Reilly's viewership has been in freefall since his October 2004 sex scandal, dropping from a height of around 3.1 million to just over 2 million in October 2006 and leveling of at that rate to the present day. O'Reilly has lost over a third of his audience in two years, but since he began his feverish coverage of O'Donnell's comments nearly two weeks ago, his ratings have experienced a brief spike.

Bill O'Reilly may be a thug and a bully but he's a calculating one at that, deciding to abandon his rhetoric of "marginalizing cranks" by ignoring them and going hell for leather to exploit Rosie O'Donnell's popularity in an attempt to rescue his failing television career. O'Donnell's feud with Donald Trump was a ratings boon for both of them and O'Reilly fully recognizes the opportunity to stick his foot in the door on this one

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zfih0O96H7Y

O'Reilly went out all guns blazing yesterday in his continued attempts to attack O'Donnell for her public stance on 9/11, devoting two segments of his own show to the story and appearing on another Fox News show later in the evening to hype the feud.

We would encourage Rosie O'Donnell to continue simply asking the questions that need to be asked about 9/11, while avoiding becoming embroiled in a spat with attention seeking loser O'Reilly, whose only agenda is to claim O'Donnell's potential dismissal as a feather in his cap while briefly rejuvenating his declining TV crapfest.

  • Author

Again tonight he just started his show with a segment kicking at Rosie O'Donnell.

Made the same HUGE errors as he has done for the last few nights....and that is BAREFACE LYING!!! Claimed Rosie sides with Iran (hmm, might wanna check out what she actually said!!) and O'Reilly said tonight "this is not about a feud, this is not about a feud, there's no feud..."

Ermm, ok Bill....what about this from last night???

030407oreilly.jpg

He wants a personal feud because just like the Trump Vs. O'Donnell "feud" they can grab lots of ratings this way.

O'Reilly is going to have a hard to time ahead if he's going to continue with his pure lies, misquoting her on purpose and having guest after guest coming in to badmouth Rosie while not debating any facts or important details.

You know I think that its funny that a UK moron who copies and pastes articles, from god knows where, onto some website's forums thinks he knows shit about the US government. Good luck with that.

I don't like Bill O'Reilly, or any of the other prominent "bashers" in today's media. It's not because their views are different than mine, rather the way they present them using name-calling and screaming, like that kind of thing makes them right. I could care less about their political stance, but when they go around shouting down anyone who disagrees with them, that's when I say they've gone too far. :/ If you're going to present your opinions, at least do them with some kind of tact.
