The Passover Thread!!!

Featured Replies

A thread for all us jews to discuss our seders and matzah etc!

what the.....?

anyway HAPPY PESACH!

What kind of customs do Jews have at this time?

I come from a Christian background so I'm interested to see how other 'religions' celebrate this Holy time.

oh well peace be upon you....

well i dont really do much, strictly jews are supposed to stay away from leavened food such as bread pasta etc for 8 days, the only thing with flour you can eat is matzah, which tastes like cardboard.

not that i keep that though... im agnostic, but enjoy being a cultural jew (food)

i dont keep passover rules either.... at my base we had to throw away everything hametz, so i had to hide so much food... it was an exciting morning, me and the girls of my room were so scared we'd get caught we hid food in weird places...

and we thought the commanders would open our lockers to look for food, so we hung thongs and bras to make the commanders feel uncomfortable, but they didnt check our lockers in the end, which was kinda of disappointing

oh well....

and i love pesach, it's my favorite holiday- longest holiday :D

and im home now because of it which makes me love it more :P

almost the same here, i come from a mixed family (half jew, half christian), but we're agnostic. However, we celebrate on the special days of both religions, but without following all the rules. I think any excuse to gather the family together, specially when it offers a table full of knishes, is welcomed. And i also think matzah tastes like cardboard! :laugh3:

So, happy pesaj everyone!!! ;) HAG SAMEAJ!
