April 12, 200719 yr i've had this debate hundreds of times with my friends. i wanted to no wat you guys thought. i think it is a sport. it involves a lot of strength, and if you're walking, endurance.
April 12, 200719 yr Well it is tricky but it is not difficult if you have someone tell you all the tricks. Golf always reminds me of this guy back at school. There was a contest and you had to make 10 holes I thin. Anyway, I wanted one of the prices but I knew there was no way I could win because I had never even played golf before, but there was a friend there who is really good at it. Anyway, he told me how to lean it, how to hit and how to everything. I ended up making the whole 10 holes by myself. I was so impressed.. out of the people who tried, I was the one who made all of them. Yeah, def. a sport or a hobby whatever it's fun I guess
April 13, 200719 yr Is formula 1 a sport? according to this: Yes golf is a sport Mwah, you'd be surprised how good those formula 1 drivers their condition is. Golf: Well yeah ... I think it is.
April 13, 200719 yr The difference being that F1 drivers have to be in the same sort of shape as Olympic athletes to last an entire race. Golfers on the other hand tend to end up with beer bellies if they think of it as a sport and form of exercise. I think competitively it can reach the level of a sport, but in general it's a hobby. Of course I probably shouldn't talk. I'm the one who likes curling.
April 15, 200719 yr It's a sport..but what is the definition of sport?? 1.an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc. 2.a particular form of this, esp. in the out of doors. 3.diversion; recreation; pleasant pastime. .... http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/sport
April 16, 200719 yr I'd say so. It requires strength and skill. And it isn't easy. You can't just be told what to do and do it, you gotta practise.
