So, the new Coldplay.com will come out soon... But how was it before? I mean, how many times it was re-done?

Coldplay.com has definitely gone through several transformations. You can actually see them all by going here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.coldplay.com

 

It looks like there's the first version from 1999, a 2000 version, a 2001 version, a late-2002 version, and a 2004 version that is basically what we've been used to. I personally don't have any recollection of visiting anything previous to the 2002 version but it's interesting to see their old sites!

The site is usually redone (or slightly altered) every year, it seems.

From 2004 onward it's been the customizable flash site with all the different album and singles skins. They changed the front photo pretty often, though. (There's more but the laziness :wacko:)

 

The site has always changed relatively often so it doesn't necessarily mean a new album this year, but it would certainly be nice! :cheesy:

I don't think that a new site means new album news. I just figured that they are fixing up the site while things are quiet and they have time. If Coldplay isn't up to much then it means they've got longer to change the site without making the fans lose out on any important news.

 

I hope I'm wrong, though, and that there will be album news.

 

But I don't think it'll be released until 2008.
