Just a note, in case you missed Bill Moyer's Journal on PBS, the Friday evening broadcast - Only one US Representative had the BALLS to stand up and support Fair Trade Policy on the floor of the House here in the US of A - and he made enough of a splash to get a mention on Bill Moyer's program!

..and he just happens to be our Representative here in NE Wisconsin (YEA!!). :)

The more letters he gets, the more ammo he has in favor of greater equity in our trade policy; and the more we get honest people elected, the better the whole world will be (think - world bank, debt forgiveness, foreign aid, fair trade policies, etc...) & hey, let's not forget, Coldplay and Fair Trade go hand in hand!!;)

My mam switched from Tetleys to Typhoo or something this week.

 

I never knew that different brands of tea were so different.

 

I'm a tetleys man for my life and beyond.

In Italy are fair trade shops which sell Chocolate and tea and those are fucking yummy

David, I agree - some of the things aren't quite as good. But, I think the quality issues can and should be addressed - it's maybe part of what's holding back sales. I like the chocolate, tho.. It's not the same as the usual brands, but it's pretty good tasting (like coffee and tea, it varies quite a bit..). Still a great way to help people in the lands down south!

What is the Italian Chcolate like??? Mmmm - probably some fine stuff - like Italian coffee, I suppose!:)

I buy some of my products from local farmers markets, should I stop doing that and buy Fair-Trade stuff, so it gets imported, polluting the atmosphere with dangerous CO2, and killing us all?
