The "Prospekt" Question

 

Well, "Prospekt" sounds more like a roadie/band-friend's nickname or something around those lines....

and on the Coldplayer there used to be a nice roadie who was always writing entries about concerts and events while on tour.

 

I'd say that it probably is not the name for a new album.... but who knows, Coldplay are a cleverly mysterious bunch :D ????

(Although, it is a cool name, and is spelled with a "k" just like "Politik"!) :cool:

Well, if the album name is Prospekt it sounds very promising.

i personally dont think thatll be the album name. i think its the signature of whoever wrote that studio diary, because i dont think anyone knows...its not any of the guys handwritings....

 

if it is the name of the album...i think it could be worse, but it could be better. i was hoping for something really creative, and more than one word.

who cares what its called as long as its awesome, but Prospekt kinda sounds like a hip hop album to me

Phil Harvey was their first manager. He was an old friend of Chris' from highschool, I think, and he looked after them right up until they started working on arobtth. He took off to get a psychology degree if I remember right, but he's still the 5th member of the band, and he still has a lot of say in what they do.

Although I'm not sure who/what Prospekt is,I do believe that Phil wrote the studio entry. My reason being this line "I've never seen the band so willing to be led, to be pushed" this indicates that the person who is writing this has seen them during these kind of recording session's before. Also (might be clutching at straws with this one though) there's a line saying "Chris just burst into my little room upstairs at the studio" If it's just some kinda roadie writing this why does he have a room IN the studio?? It sounds to me like the kinda thing a manager would have aka Phil. ;)

Hmmm, I noticed that the use of German words is some kind of "in" in the Anglophone countries at the moment. Smashing Pumpkin's new album is called "Zeitgeist", so why not use "Prospekt" as well?! :D

 

Btw, Coldplay already have a German song... -> Politik :P

to be honest i thought berryman wrote the journal entry.....but who knws who wrote it might have been jonny or will...... or maybe even phil harvey we will see soon enough

I searched in google that Prospekt is the Russian language.. And I think it means Avenue... I don't know:P
