Well, I'm glad I asked a not-so-silly-and-futile question!

I just saw a pic of him writing with his left hand but then I thought 'he don't play the guitar like Paul McCartney...:confused:)

Anway, ambidextrous people are like hen's teeth. Besides, I've been studying handedness and I've found that left-handedness isn't free form all prejudice.........:veryangry:

yes, you can be. i write with my right hand, but do nearly everything else with my left through preference, though i can write with my left and do everything (but butter bread! :D) with my right. ambidextrosity is pretty cool, though it gets pretty annoying when people are always testing you and being like "ok, now do it with your right hand!"

 

though my handwriting with my left hand, while legible, sometimes does not want to stay in a straight line as well as my right-handed handwriting. this is why i have preferences.

 

i think chris just plays guitar righty because its supposedly easier. i dont think all that many people play guitar left handed even when they are left handed (i can only think of three: paul mccartney, jimi hendrix, and kurt cobain). i mean, guy plays right handed as well.

Oh and I read somewhere that Guy (who's a leftie) can also play bass the "left" way, but chooses the "right" or "orthodox" way because it's more traditional.

Chris is probably the same way, and left-handed instruments are rarer and thus more expensive as well, so when he bought his first guitar he probably did not want to spend a fortune! ;)

Actually I do practise my left hand in writing - I have some 'obsession' for the alternative side, in this case the right hemisphere of our brain.

i've heard that left handed people live shorter than righthanded LOL

I remember reading that when Chris was taking guitar lessons he found it was easier to play the right handed way, so that his left hand will be on the frets and can work faster or something...
