I'm offended that no one likes our poetry/wants to write poetry to share with all.

Your photo is only something I look at every day

Your face is only as an angels

Your kindness is only unsurpassable

Your beauty is only boundless

Your laughter is only the sweetest melody to hit my ears

Your presence is only the most adorable thing ever

You only occupy al my thoughts and desires

And I’m only human

 

That picture reminds me of something I saw on one of the main streets downtown a couple of weeks ago... 2 buskers- one a bagpiper (a good one) in full dress; kilt and everything. The other was a hippy-ish type playing one of those drums.

 

I don't know if they had planned the collaboration or not (it looked like they hadn't), but the drummer was doing all of these funky hip hop beats while the piper improvised to them- snatches of old tunes connected by some of his own stuff- all very celticy sounding. One of THE most amazing things I've seen in a long time.

Anyway, that would be me appreciating live music here...

I've got bigger boobs than Marisa, so it was only fair.

But in all fairness hers are better.

A little something I wrote last year. So incredibly cheesy, but that's how I felt then:

'Waiting'

 

Silence.

I didn’t say a word.

Even your gentle, dainty eyes blaze

through me.

What were you thinking?

You didn’t say anything either.

All I see is a bashful smile, hidden

behind flushed cheeks.

 

Weren’t you going to say something?

Your words stuck in the throat,

aching to be bursted out.

Funny I say,

It’s the exact same feeling I am

cursed with now.

 

Emotions flutter inside,

heart accelerating, beat so

steady and rhythmic.

I feel the sting in my face,

burning a deeper carnation tint.

 

Can you see me melt inside?

How my soul can barely contain the

truth within.

I want to scream it,

so loud it would be eternal sound.

But I all I can do is turn away,

ashamed of the skeptic in my mind,

and the certainty in my heart.

it's sad.. but I like it...
