If a leak comes along, somebody here will post a link (or somewhere else) and the whole surpirse thing will be ruined - it's better to wait, full of expectations.

I know I won't be dissapointed, as this is a band that doesn't disappoint, but excel at what they do. Last album was polished to perfection and this one will be no exception too.

was reading the new issue of rolling stone the other day and came across this and screamed in delight:

 

of course, its not any conclusive info, but i was quite happy to hear a BANDMEMBER say something about the upcoming LP4 rather than just prospekt or other people.

SO. EXCITED.

if mixin takes same time in this album like it took in x&y we will have to very long time

chris should stop making music with hip hop artists.

I think it'll be interesting to see if coldplay continues the growth from the almost indie-rock of Parachutes to the very mainstream U2ish X&Y. Where do they go from here? I would be very surprised if they depart far from the formula though. It's such an amazingly good formula :D

when x&y was getting ready to be released I didnt want to hear any of it until the album came out, but now I am dying for a leak, even if its not a song to be put on the cd. I dont think I have the patience, its like a drug, I NEED new COLDPLAY!!!!

I know how you feel...besides this is a new era, bands know already albums leak. Now all they have to do is make it good enough so the rest of us buy them. Or follow Radiohead's brilliant idea and suprises us all with "The Album comes out in 10 days". That always works!:)

It's a little late for a Coldplay to decide not to tell anyone about the new album...although, they could stall and not release any info...and then tell us all that the album would be out in ten day...after all;

How long exactly did 'Mixing Stage' take with X&Y then? I really hope the album comes out in February like some say, that would be a nice VERY NICE birthday present.

and it totally IS like a drug!! i need my coldplay fix ASAP. if i dont have it by like, march, i think i may spontaneously combust.

a leak would be WONDERFUL. it wouldnt make me not buy the album; i plan to DL it the second it becomes available on itunes, even if i have to stay up all night, AND but a hardcopy CD, and then the vinyl as well at some point. i just NEEEEEED COLDPLAY.

i wouldn't want a leak of stuff fr the new album 'cos i think the band wouldn't want such a thing (unless it was intentional, which i really really doubt CP would ever do) -- however, i would certainly be tempted to listen if there was a leak :square:

I don't think an In Rainbows-esque release is gonna happen, as the guys are still under contract. Notice what Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails and Oasis have in common - huge acts newly freed from record contracts. Alas, it's a long way off till the majority of bands can release their stuff like that...but it's one step closer.

 

Anyway, I'm thinking mid-Spring, perhaps March?

:dance: :dance: This is great news, though probably it would take a long time for the mixing stage.

 

I can't wait to hear their new sound of 'experiment' in the new album. What would it sound like? I'm so excited but also worried. Haha...

 

Yeah, I'm hoping it will be out in February or March next year. :)
