Coldplay for T In The Park 2008?

Ā

T In The Park organisers are reportedly lining up a swoop for Coldplay and Muse to headline next year's festival.

Ā

According to industry insiders, Coldplay are ready to come out of their self-imposed exile to unveil their next album - the follow-up to 'X & Y' - at the July festival.

Ā

The band's last UK headline appearance was at the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2006, months after they announced a three-year hiatus at the BRIT Awards.

Ā

But reports suggest a new album has been readied with a 2008 release due and a European summer tour also planned.

Ā

Muse are also a target for next year's T In The Park. It is believed the band were lined up to play last year's event before they opted to play Live Earth instead.

Ā

With T In The Park now extended to a three-day festival that would leave just one headline slot to fill.

Ā

Other bands rumoured for the 80,000-capacity event include Kaiser Chiefs, The Verve and Orson.

Ā

It's all speculation of course, and we won't know anything for definite until T In The Park announces its line up in the new year. It takes place at Balado, Kinross, from 11-13 July 2008.

OMG!!

Ā

Are you suffering from Chantellitis??:stunned:

I want to go!:stunned: Muse too?!:shocked2:

i would KILL to go, but alas, it just wont happen. ill just wait till they come to america, which hopefully will be fall/winter 08.

Ā

but im semi disappointed by the rumor that itll take them THAT LONG to unveil the new album. i was really really hoping for march/april 08 or sooner. i might die of anticipation by july. and that just seems like an overly long time, anyway. i must say i hope that rumor is false.
