Which Muse songs don't get the love they need?

 

I would say: Darkshines

 

Thoughts of a Dying Atheist would by my biggest one though. I love the whole thing, the vocals, the guitars, the lyrics. Especially lyrics, I find its just an interesting song to think about. "It scares the hell out of me". I mean if you are an atheist you obviously don't believe in heaven or hell. Just a cool song.

 

City of Delusion is also amazing....

 

and I also love Forced In.

FURY is terribly underrated--by the band! :(

 

Well, Matt thinks it's one of the best songs they've written, but Chris and Dom voted for The Small Print to be on Absolution instead--they just wanna rock out more. :laugh3:

 

Fury is so kick-ass--it's a real shame it's not on Abso. :(

 

Eternally Missed is brilliant too--the catchy bass riff, the drums, and the overall creepiness of it... haha.

 

And Apocalypse Please and Shrinking Universe. :D

^ Fury is on Absolution for me (I bought the Japan edition ^^), and it's terribly great.

 

There are many many underrated Muse songs, almost all : if fans stopped digging their most crappy songs, then the others wouldn't be underrated. You know, fans always want to see the same uninteresting songs live, such as Plug-In Baby, Bliss, TIRO, TSP, Assassin, etc, whereas i can pick at least five B-Sides better than each of those.

 

Underrated songs are almost all B-sides, plus the songs that don't appear "rocking" enough. If Muse make a slow song, then the fans find it boring. That's why Eternally Missed is a B-side, which is totally absurd, because it's one of their best songs ever.

 

Of course, when I say 'fans', I don't mean everyone who listen to Muse, but just the morons that are the most numerous among Muse fans, and I think there's none of them on this MB.

 

Underrated songs :

Falling Down, Hate This & I'll Love You, Forced In, Con-Science, Space Dementia, Futurism, Megalomania, Hyper Music, Yes Please, Recess, Shrinking Universe, Map Of Your Head (big one), Hyper Chondriac Music (big one), Shine (very big one), Shine Acoustic (huge one), Apocalypse Please, Fury, Ruled By Secrecy, Eternally Missed, Soldier's Poem, Glorious, Easily.

 

PS : I put Space Dementia in this list because I think it may be the smartest thing Matthew will ever get to compose and it drives me mad when I think some people know it and Hyper Music as the tracks lying between Bliss and Plug-In Baby.

 

And my favourite Muse song is Citizen Erased, so I'll always find it underrated.

I didn't add Citizen Erased just because I know quite a few people around here like it....but it is definitely one of their best songs.

I just don't think people like Escape at all... myeah.

And Citizen Erased too although, as Briggins said, quite a few people seem to appreciate it here.

Oh and Hyper Chondriac Music and maybe Dead Star as well.. darn, there are a lot of them!

Megalomania - the end with the organs blaring is just amazing

Yeah I doubt Sunburn has ever been underrated. Great song though.
