You'd think being a female singer myself that I'd like female singers, but I'm not a big fan either. You've really got to be something special to amaze me. I'm not even a big fan of my own voice, even though I consider myself a good singer,lol. (Mandyleigh, if you're reading this, you're one of the few I like...right up there with Kate Bush!:))

It's a tie between Coldplay and Muse, it's impossible to choose which one of them I like the most.

I think no matter how many other bands come along in my life that I absolutely adore, nothing can replace Coldplay. The band changed my life and it's because of them that I'm alive. So they hold a really special place in my heart.

coldplay were never my favourite band, i just think they made and hopefully making very good music.

 

i have three favourite bands....radiohead, the verve and pink floyd. :)

It's that when I was thirteen, I was going through a really tough time in my life, and Coldplay's music got me through it. All my problems were expressed in their music, and it's like they were saying it for me. It made my life a lot clearer, and life's not perfect now, but they totally got me through a tough time 3 years ago.

Maybe if Coldplay's last album were stronger they'd still be my favorite band, but I've discovered a hell of a lot of music since then that just leaves them in the dust.

 

A Rush of Blood to the Head, however, remains my absolute favorite album. I treat it and its music with a sort of reverence, being the first album I ever actually bought. :)

unique effect in our souls, sometimes I feel so sad, so I like to listen to their songs specially { Trouble and Fix you } really these two songs makes me feel so better... :):):)

It shows from my avi and sig who is my #1 favorite band of all time. :D I've been their huge fan since 1995. What a long time, and I still love them as much as I always do no matter in what condition or status they are now. :nice:

coldplay is the best band in the whole world and nobody can replace them

i discover them in 2003 with the song clocks

i was really overwhelmed by their music

and i'm still of course

I guess part of why I'm listening to so much other music now is that my ex and I only split up a few weeks ago, and almost every Coldplay song reminds me of him. We went to shows together, and even worked on my album together, and so much of that was inspired by Coldplay. Maybe when I'm feeling better about the breakup, I'll be able to really get into their music again. (And hopefully the new album won't make me think of hime wince it didn't exist when we were together.:))

Yeah they were never my favourite either...U2 was for the longest time now its Radiohead. I still really like U2 though.

If we try and compare apples to oranges.. To me, there are only great bands and bands working on polishing their "diamonds in the rough" so to speak. It takes time to do that, and lots and lots of guts and perseverence. I give them all enormous credit.

It would be like picking a favorite color - and what would the rainbow look like missing the rest?:)

Coldplay's always been my favorite band. :) But there are other bands that I listen to just as much.
