....well I actually have a feeling there are more of Thom here, no? Or maybe it's because I don't spend time in the Coldplay section, are there a lot there?

I've seen more Thom than Chris, but there are lost of both. If they saw them, they'd think we were all psycho!

Haha...you should see what some people on ateaseweb.com post about Thom...

...it's not pretty O.O

Yeah I'm sure they'd feel so weird :P

Is it pervy like half the stuff we post about the guys? I'd be scared if I were them.:laugh3:

I would be soooo creeeped out if I was them!!! can you imagine all those people who just think about them that way all the time....? :stunned:

:o Omg Angie....that's us!!!!!!

When I listen to their music and videos - Radiohead's - I just think: "how could they think anyone is any weirder than they are?" (Well, I suppose there are the dark-minded neo-cons that run the world in some bad bad ways, comparing ugly and uglier scenarios about who to bomb next) But aside from "them", I just think they probably love it all. We are all a bit voyeuristic in one way or another, so what a more interesting window for an artist to look into? Anyhow, they like feeling a bit weird, I think. Music is an outward expression of how we feel at the moment, and so I'm sure they are fascinated by odd feelings that are often not expressed in mainstream culture.

And I love the antlers on Thom! It really brightens him up a lot!!:)

Radiohead aren't weird....they're just different. They're a genre of music of their own...but I wouldn't say it's weird...

But hehe thanks!

He could use it,lol.

Chris also once said that the band scour the internet after show for reviews and fan opinions, so you can bet they've looked in here, considering it's the best place for reviews...even better than their own site, lol.

Will's even corresponded with Ian, so the only question is 'how much have they seen?':rolleyes::rolleyes:

OMG!!!!!!!! Since when did I hit 4,000 posts?!?!?!?!?!?

He could use it,lol.

Yeah I heard that in an interview too....but I think it was about a long time ago, not now....

Really?? Ian talked to Will?? About what??

He could use it,lol.

Okay....just so everyone knows...Thom is not depressed or suicidal...he is very happy.... did you see the webcast and him fooling around?? he's funny in interviews too....

What's inn a name..

Well, it's just a term. I like being weird sometimes.. :wacky: It's state-of-mind anyhow; maybe like playing a part in a play..

But, to me Radiohead is more philosophical than musical.. Kindof that reflective mode we all sometimes are in, but rarely gets expressed in a musical form.. I like the Karma police video - did this come out before the Gulf war?

So you listen to Radiohead for their philosphies/ideas about the world and not the music?

anyway, goodnight everyone!!!

Hi Anna!

Well, I first heard Radiohead back in the late 80's - art majors were big into them, and I had a few friends at the art school. Anyhow, to me, it's more of a "try and figure out what the heck they're really getting at here" sort of thing - and they do a great job of tapping the subconscious realm. But, if I want to listen, I usually like music that's a little more up-tempo. We all like different things - else it would be one blah world, eh?!;)

Nite-nite!:)

G'night, Anna! I don't think Thom's that odd...I'm a songwriter, so I get his 'weirdness'. But compared to the typical band with the typical 3 minute pop song, they are strange.

I can't remember what Will's note was, I think it was about the changes to the Coldplay forum a few months ago. It was posted publicly on the board, but I'm afraid I can't remember where.

OK - strange then! Sorry for using the "W" word!:laugh3: & I like that Doors song - "people are stange, when you're a stranger.." It's kinda on that wavelength too..

Hmmm.. - creative might be a better word for it. Thom is very creative! He's channeling the psychic energy of 10,000 tarsairs, as they hunt for beetles and mothes in the night.:elf:

And so Coldplay keeps their pop songs to 5 minutes, so how do they rate then?:laugh3:

lol. I don't mind the 'W' word at all, and I wans't comparing them to Coldplay. All I'm saying is that they're musically very different from the norm, and that's what I like about them. And you're right. Thom is very philosophical lyrically. Much as I like emotional love songs (like the ones Chris writes) it's refreshing to hear intillectual songwriters.

^Wow! This thread has suddenly gone all "nerdy"!!:P

I know. It's a bit like 'at ease' isn't it? *runs away scared*
