Surivor polls

Featured Replies

Okay, so I'm going to try something new here, something that they do over on the U2 forum (www.interference.com) and I find it rather enjoyable. Basically we'll go through some of this forum's most popular bands (Radiohead, Muse, Travis, etc) album by album, voting off out least favourite song until we're left with a couple songs to compete for the title of "Sole Survivor" for the band.

Later on I may consider doing a Survivor with the winning song from each band in an "Ultimate Survivor round"

The polls will last for around 2 days each just so it doesn't take too too long.

I'll use this thread to keep track of things.

Radiohead

OK Computer - Paranoid Android, Let Down

Kid A - Idioteque, How To Disappear Completely

Amnesiac - Pyramid Song, Life In A Glass House

Hail To The Thief - There There, Where I End and You Begin

Muse

Absolution - Stockholm Syndrome, Butterflies and Hurricanes

Black Holes and Revelations - Starlight, Knights of Cydonia

Yeah, you just vote for it. The song (or songs if there is a tie) with the most votes gets eliminated. Then the next round the surviving songs will go head to head until there are two songs left which are the winners for that particular album.

haha, I just added it a few minutes ago.

hmmmmmm .... participating in muse survivor will be a bit hard for me. :P

do muses absolution next it seems to please everyone but nobody loves every song.

Yeah Absolution would be great. Though it would be harder for me to do than Origin of Symmetry, I think I like Absolution better ...:\

i think absolution would be easier for me to do

Yeah I'm planning on starting up Absolution today.

OoS has no bad song,I couldnt be in that vote

but they arn't all as good as Meglomania, Darkshines and Citizen Erased.

Gotta be in the right mood for microcuts / screenager myself.

Same with Absolution and blackout or BHAR and Invincible.

Absolution tho, I think everyone dislikes or doesnt love one song would be more intresting due to the disjointed nature of the album compared to the consistancy of Showbiz and OOT or Ok Computer.

Id love to see a Blur or Oasis album survivor competition too.

Oasis could be doable.

I'm listening to them right now :)

So from OK Computer Paranoid Android and Let Down move on to the Radiohead final whenever that takes place.

do you think enough people have listened to all their albums?

(i.e. more than Whats the Story (Morning Glory)
