I just posted it there last night in hope of getting some response ... apparently it worked, OMFGYAY :'D

I could give you little excersises if you want, something that will show you your own progress (that WILL happen, trust me).

But be honest with yourself, if you want to learn art, don't ever do it halfheartedly, put your most effort into every picture. It sounds hard, but it's just like any other craft that needs to be learned!

I've been in an arts academy (in my spare time, once a week, nothing too special) since I was 7 and now I'm "graduated" there but pfff I can't do anything, apart from choosing the right colours and copying photographs, it's boring :| so yeah I didn't see any progress. I like colouring stuff in photoshop but I don't have a drawing pad thing so I always have to start on a piece of paper, take a picture of it and use that, but then the white isn't white anymore and everything's messed up, always :p

oh and I neverrrrr have inspiration! what can you do about that?

I see. Well most of my art idols and favourite artists taught themselves in art without any help, and they're freaking AWESOME :dead:

Okay, you seek inspiration. Does listenting music help you maybe? Or watching your favourite show? You know, it's important to have FUN at drawing. Of course you should need to know the basics and all that jazz, but it doesn't help you at all if you're already pissed about everything before your pen has even touched the paper

If you don't have any ideas whatsoever, draw anything you see. I know, it sounds boring, but everything you are drawing is something that exists somehow in this world and has been seen before with your own eyes.

If you know the fundamentals of colours as you said, that's great! It's important to have balanced colours in your picture.

But don't overwork yourself in the beginning, just start your day with ideas/workloads, like "Today I'm going to draw at least one object from my room, a plant and maybe an animal if there's still some time left"

And if you still can't think about ANYTHING, I'll give you ideas, HAHAHA

Music sometimes helps, then I get images in my head but they're so complicated that they're impossible to draw, at least for me. Damn you, brain

Actually, there is something that gives me some kind of inspiration: the coldplaying slimeys. I like giving them a body that fits the face :wacky:

but Ideas are always welcome :awesome:
