i can't say i know what crumpets are. i was always under the impression that they were what the british/europeans call english muffins, but i could be wrong.

are these crumpets? if they are, they're interchangeable with english muffins and they're better toasted! of course, we'd have to watch them very carefully in the mushroom cloud there so they don't get too burned.

Crumpets aren't exactly like English Muffins or pancakes...they're a little more doughy. The beauty of them is how the butter seeps into all those little holes...YUMMY!:)
