What's the time there, actually...?

Ouch...that means i should NOT be here now...and that i shouldn't be watching tv either now :uhoh:

bah, i heard about this on the radio and thought it's interesting but i screwed up without even knowing i did it :(

There's a thread about this in the news section ;)

I want to do it.

My computer will be in a middle of it's backup system

Oooh neerds

Damn, i feel so bad now...i'll just go somewhere now and switch the lights off

see you in 25 mins haha

I like this zerofootprint calculator thingy they linked to...

:uhoh: it's becoming a tradition this thing of switch off things, does anybody knows that if we ALL would do the same, it will broke many things?

Yeah and if everyone in the US simply switched to those fluorescent lightbulbs they would not only save themselves tons of money, we could shut down 90 large power plants!

But if you shut down 90 large power plants, the economy would suffer and thousands of people would be without jobs. Then maybe we'd be having "Economy Hour".

Well maybe those thousands of people could be trained as nurses to serve people that are sick as a result of increased green house gases, smog, photochemical smog, etc......

It isn't damaging to switch stuff off, but when the time comes to switch the things back on, there is a surge in the power grid, which if it's too great the network could go into emergency and shut-down (= No power). Like what happened in New York a few years back.

I could not take part... as I was working... no point if u ask me anyway !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everything except in one room of the house is unplugged.

My brother has to watch the Kid's fuckin' Choice Awards. Each day he watches about 5 or 6 hours of television, and now, today, when I ask him not to four an hour he absolutely has to. WTF?

I will turn everything off between the hours of 1am and 2am...

couldn't do it at 8pm, will do in halpf an hour ...

Earth Hour ruined my day.

My dad walked in the room after turning on all the lights and said it was a "pointless exercise in futility." I replied, joking, "I think most things are." He said, "If that's the way you feel about life, you're a dork."

"Well, I guess I'm a dork." I was even laughing a little at this point.

"If that's how you really feel, you must be getting it off the computer. You need to get off if that's how you think." Then he left, leaving me with my jaw dropped like a giant idiot who had just been hit over the back of the head with a frying pan.

He has to turn everything into something negative. He was the one who said it was pointless, and then when I made a joke, I was the negative person.

So I lasted approximately ten minutes out of sixty. Go us.

oh that isn't a very good news, Emily. I hope he'll forget what he said!

But parents are parents, most of them can't joke. <_<

My dad'll shell out the jokes, but he won't hear them once somebody makes them. I just don't really like him right now.

Sometimes I just don't like him at all. He has to stick his opinion into everything. Everything. Apparently, if you use the word "fuck" in a song, you are not a real musician because you are using profanity as a crutch.

I just want to go to bed so I don't see him for the rest of the night.
