That makes absolutely no sense at all.

I hate hate hate High Speed tho

Woah, you know I see how people can hate fix you, and even yellow, but what could anyone possible hate about high speed?

Okay, the same thing happened to me before I got X&Y. I read reviews saying the album was a U2 copy, that it wasn't Coldplay, and that the band would never be the same. SO when I got it I was expecting to hate it, and immediatley hated Square One because it was different. I didnt even listen to the rest of the album. Then a few days later I finally gave it another try and listened all the way through. After hearing Fix You and Speed of Sound, I was convinced to keep listening. SOme songs took a while (Low, Hardest Part, Swallowed in the Sea, X&Y) but after listening 3 or 4 times, I loved the entire album.

So dont worry about liking it, it is Coldplay. Just be optimistic, have an open mind, and most of all, give songs a few listens before making up your mind, because a lot of it might have to do with your mood.

Hope I helped :)

It scares the shit out of me. Nervous! I wanna love it, but... It's like they've said. Everyone won't like the new album and I'm afraid I won't. Anyone else feeling this way?

you might like it more than you think!! people with high expectation for an album always end up not liking an album as much and people with low expectations love iT!! like me i think this new cd will not be a great as ROBTTH but i think it might be better than Xy my expectations are low!!??

My 5c worth...

Putting aside the fact that there are more pressing issues in the world to worry about, since we wouldnt be on this forum if we didn't care a little...

When i first heard that LP4 would be completely different, i was a little disappointed too and i didn't understand why they would change the formula when it was working so well until i started reading some of the reviews that x&y got... and it sounds like the band was heavily criticised for staying within their comfort zone. So i've come to the realisation that if they don't try new things then they'll never grow as a band. and growth is not a bad thing, it just means their new album will take us on a journey to places we've never been before.. perhaps places we'll love, though we never knew they existed...

Agree with many of the comments above... at the end of the day, its the same band with the same sense for good music. not much to worry about when you're putting your faith in four people who have never let you down before...

that's kind of right.. I hate A whisper :sifty:

BUT COMMON!!!

WE'VE WAITED FOR THIS THREE ENTIRE YEARS!

it will be good ;)

yes, YES, THIRSTY FOR MORE.

A wise professor once said, "The key to happiness is low expectations." In our modern society, we want everything to be perfect or we're unhappy. Instead, we should approach life like a child (for whom everything is new and different).

absolutely agree

low expectations

- Youre not, I'm off the clock

Well, isn't that convenient for you?... and the clock.
