Really easy songs for accostic guitars

Featured Replies

I've had my guitar less than a week so I'm looking for some good songs that don't require much skill to play. But sound great on an acoustic.

Preferably by the Beatles / Radiohead / Travis / Coldplay and The Verve.

Really easy like novicey!... thanks

Coldplay - Don't Panic.

Coldplay - Bigger Stronger.

Coldplay - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face.

Coldplay - Careful Where You Stand.

Coldplay - A Whisper.

Coldplay - A Rush Of Blood To The Head.

Coldplay - Till Kingdom Come.

Coldplay - Parachutes.

And more..

That are quit easy Coldplay songs to play acoustic.

And one more:

Radiohead - Exit Music(For a Film)

rabbit fur coat by jenny lewis and in the aeroplane over the sea by neutral milk hotel were my first songs, they are sooooo easy. and if you don't like those songs, you probably have a little something wrong with your brain/heart.

You find Careful Where You Stand easy? The others on that list I can play, but I've never figured that one out. Is it an alternate tuning?

Standard tuning.. not that hard.. need only some practice.;)

THanks.:)

Lucky Man by the Verve is easy...only 5 chords in the whole song IIRC.

Yeah, careful where you stand it's a great song for practicing finger-picking strings several strings apart from each other, good song too. But if you want to start off easier... I started off with songs like don't panic, new slang and green eyes. You can play the chorus of don't panic with open chords to make it easier. Once you get the hang of open chords move on to fifths and barre chords.

easiest coldplay song is help is around the corner. green eyes is pretty easy too.

for radiohead i would say fpt is the easiest as well as the acoustic part of no surprises.

lucky man by verve and sonnet are easy.

let it be is easy for the beatles. i'm sure there are others i'm not thinking of.

but the mega easy acoustic guitar songs are.

knocking on heavens door by bob dylan

and house with no name by america

the scientist = bm7, G, D, Dsus2, A, Am (?)

speed of sound

I've got my hang on Lucky man - The Verve, been learning that one. I have the chords down but I can't figure out the riff.

^A lot of these suggestions are easy for experienced players, but i remember my first few weeks. Look up the guitar CHORDS for:

A Rush of Blood to the Head- Coldplay

Spies- Coldplay (if you don't mind changing the tuning)

Fake Plastic Trees- Radiohead

If you learn these and really practice them, you'll get good fast. These have basic chords that are good to learn and the strumming patterns are pretty easy so you will be able to play them right.

BTW: 911tabs.com has the best collected tabs from ttabs, ultimateguitar, and more, so that would be your best bet!

The scientist is actually

VERSE: Dm7 - Bb - F - Fsus2

CHORUS: Bb- Bb - F -Fsus2

mainly, cause there are some few chords like C/F and some other in the chorus but with that you'll do.

PD: I suggest Snow Patrol songs, they're very simple and beautiful

Hello! Please, would someone so kind and send me a link of a Spies chords, which id good for non experienced player?

Thanks a lot!

Bye bye

You can make all songs as easy as you can play..

Just play the chords on the beat without making the rhythm.. DONE you can play the song!

Not in a hard way.. but on your own way.

You can better play it harder than you can play it.. and every time playing it again.. increase the difficulty a bit.

In no time you can play songs you want.

you can actually play Rush of Blood in standard tuning too.

Am, C, Em, Am

That's the verse, youll hear it

Chorus: F, D7, F, D7, F, D7, then just play the 4th fret barred on D, G, B, and E strings

pretty simple, look it up at 911tabs.com

Thanks guys, i will start to practice! :)

But what means: then just play the 4th fret barred on D, G, B, and E strings??? this english guitar language difficult for me:confused:

Green eyes isn't that easy if you play it like chris does. But it sounds fairly accurate just using regular E, A, Bm, D, G etc..

I honestly find most of those songs above me. I need something with little finger direction for chord changes. F is a bitch of a chord. So is F/C.
