eFlat
Whew, $9.99? Check out that list price of $18.98. Best discount I've seen so far... Looks like the track listing has been finalized here, too. That album art looks awesome-er every time I see it... Amazon.com
snowshine
I wonder why the list price is soo expensive.
FedEx
I wonder why the list price is soo expensive. Maybe because it's actually a two disc album :/
eFlat
I dunno why its so expensive but that was the price pretty much everywhere I looked. Odd considering there's only 10 songs, give or take a few of the tracks with two songs on them... A bonus DVD of some studio sessions would be killer! Let's hope there's some extra content
Texasluvsjonny
So what are all those idiot sites that had the new Coldplay LP "Prospekt" due out soon saying these days? :laugh3:
TraceOddity
I don't fine $18.99 that bad. That's around the average here, although because it's a new release, the shops'll probably knock a couple bucks off. I'm guessing my copy will be around $15.99. eFlat
So what are all those idiot sites that had the new Coldplay LP "Prospekt" due out soon saying these days? :laugh3: Haha, good question... I was surprised to see that most of them actually had the full album title listed. Update: I just checked over at Buy.com again to take another look at the list price and it seems as though Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends is finally showing up in the Bestselling tab when you search for Coldplay stuff on the website. It took me a couple minutes to find it last time because its missing the cover art and it was on like the last page of search results... Guess that free single is grabbing some album sales ;)
eFlat
I'm guessing my copy will be around $15.99. Yup that was the most common price tag. Of course you should watch out for those "New low price! $17.99!" stickers, a whopping dollar off... Sheesh, they get me every time...
shipoffools
That is really expensive. $14-15 is generally the standard here.
alvin.ping
Just put in my pre-order. With shipping it came out to be $13. That's $13 for a full-quality, hard-copy disc containing several hundred, if not thousands, of hours of hard work put in by some of the most talented musicians in the world - for a physical piece of long-awaited Coldplay that can be converted and transferred to whatever I want, however I want. For $13. Quite the bargain, if you ask me.
nevaehdreamz
Lot's of time they put that "list price" there to fool you into thinking you're getting a major discount. The reality is that you probably won't find it priced that much....anywhere.
Ebs757
I pre ordered it on Amazon for like 10 bucks + shipping. Does that cover the album and everything? lol
nevaehdreamz
Pre-order, sucks. That means you won't get it THE day of, you have to wait a day or so. :p Plus it ends up costing more because of tax+shipping.

I agree about the shipping wait-time, but on the day of, there's bound to be countless sources of high quality album rips (legitimate or not :laugh3:). Then when the actual disc comes, I can delete the other rips, make my own, FLACs or whatever, and joy ensues. I don't know about paying more for tax/ship - at my local music stores, new release CDs are never cheaper than $13.99, plus tax. So it comes out to a little less! Like were going to wait for the disk to come to listen to it ;)
xsarehardcorex
Geez I feel bad for all the Brits and Canadians out there that don't have Best Buy, which normally a week or so on popular new releases is $9.
