The Football League Playoffs

Featured Replies

It's the best time of the year, where it's make or break time for 4 clubs from each of the 3 cola-cola leagues, will they make it to Wembley next bank holiday weekend, will they make the grade and jump up to the next league?

Championship Play-offs - The so called £60 million games.

Bristol City (2) v Crystal Palace (1)

Watford v Hull

League 1 Play-Offs

Leeds v Carlisle

Doncaster (0) v Southend (0)

League 2 Play-Offs

Wycombe v Stockport

Rochdale (1) v Darlington (2)

Blue-Square Premier Play-Off Final:

Exeter v Cambridge Utd

Screw the premier-league, this is where all the action & all the heartbreak is.

Gotta be Hull.

To see them challenge Derby for worse teams in the prem title and for all the "big clubs" forced into going to Hull....ahahahhaa I am so easily amused.

Championship Playoff, first leg

Watford 0-2 Hull

So Hull have the advantage come Wednesday night

And in league 2,

Wycombe 1-1 Stockport

Score from last night's league 1 play-off first leg:

Leeds (1) v Carlisle (2)

Comeon Carlisle, beat Leeds

Bristol City v Crystal Palace has just gone to extra time

2-2 on agg, 0-1 on the night (Palace also missed a penalty that would have sent them through on two legs)

Shame they don't play the away goals rule :(

Would be nice to see either Bristol City or Hull in the premiership next year, even if it's just for next year.

Goal!!!

And that's half-time in extra time. City need to hold on for 15 minutes and they'll be off to Wembley for the £60 million pound game

GOAL Bristol City 2-1 Crystal Palace (agg 4-2)

I love the playoffs

FULL-TIME Bristol City 2-1 Crystal Palace (agg 4-2)

Bristol City are off to Wembley :D

Well, can't you blame them?

Not everyday where the winners of one match can stand to earn £60 million

Rochdale have just beaten Darlington 5-4 on penalties to reach the League 2 final

Rochdale's first appearance at Wembley on Bank Holiday Monday

Shame Leeds won their semi-final :(

Hopefully Doncaster will beat them up good and proper

Well done to Hull in winning the first play-off final to make it into the premiership :D

(How much do you want to bet they go straight back down?)

I heard ladbrokes have stopped that betting already

Crap game though, Adebola is a load of Cack :dozey:

What 3 teams do you think will drop down next season Ian?

My money is on Hull & Stoke, but I'm unsure on the 3rd team to drop, although I have a feeling West Brommie might survive the coming season only to drop in 2009/10

All 3 up go straight back down?

It all depends on what players they buy during the summer

cITY WILL GO DOWN NEXT SEASON i AM CERTAIN

WORD ON THE STREET IS NOW the doctor is not getting his money back and he has to sell the club as on ongoing concern

Well done to Hull in winning the first play-off final to make it into the premiership :D

(How much do you want to bet they go straight back down?)

Hull going back down and with a worse record than Derby. LOL at all the "Big" clubs having to go to Hull next season. :P

At least Southampton doesn't have to go to Hull or Stoke next season.
