In your opinion, what's the best chorus in a Coldplay song???

 

I would say my fav is Yellow :)

I would have to say yellow too. plus warning sign, talk, and viva la vida

I'd have to go with X&Y, Viva La Vida, Yellow, Gravity, and Clocks

call me crazy but I dont love the Clocks chorus except live.

 

Yellow on the album version by far is the best. Other good ones are GPASUYF, The Scientist, Viva la Vida, Speed of sound is second to Yellow, Hardest Part, SITS, and A Message

But I also really love 'Politik' -- that is just incredible. :D

Agreed. Politik in my opinion is Coldplay's most epic song period.

The Scientist, Gravity, Warning Sign, Everything's Not Lost, and Viva la Vida are great too.

A tad OT, but just_a_spy (and everyone else ;)), how amazingly incredible is the piano and Chris' voice when he's singing the part 'You give me love over/ love over/ love over this...'?

There are so many Coldplay songs with a great chorus... !

Politik is really amazing! And seeing chris do it solo on piano was one of the

greatest things I have ever seen. It does give me goosebumps

 

It's such a hard choice though, Crests of Waves has always been one of my favorites, and X & Y has a great chorus. You could pretty much say any song though and I could see where you were coming from

Yeah, Chris gets so into his songs when he's performing. He looks possessed (maybe he is?). It's incredible. He certainly doesn't give a dang how strange he looks.

i love white shadows chorus, and square one's too!!

oh yeah, i forgot speed of sound as well. That chorus makes the song, especially the third chorus when Johnny comes in.

 

You can also call me crazy, but I have never been too fond of the first 2:45 of Politik. But the rest of Chris on piano and when everyone comes in at the end is just great.

Swallowed in the Sea

 

the most uplifting part of this song that makes me wanna stand up and shout is at 3:05

such a beautiful song and not many people talk about it :/

 

another great chorus is Ladder to the Sun and Fix you

SOO brilliant, I was going to mention that. If that were the chorus it would be my first pick here, but the chorus in Viva la Vida gives me chills. I'm probably gonna cry like a little girl when they play it live :D

 

EDIT: AH! Almost forgot Shiver and Fix You! Fix You is genius and so is the final chorus. And I think Shiver is, vocally, Chris's best.

The choruses sum up everything good about music.

Really loving 'Lost?' so much right now. I've no idea if it's just a temporary favourite as we have so many precious goodies to come- but no complaints if it stays there for a very long time to come :)
