nancyk58 Posted April 14, 2011 Share Posted April 14, 2011 This true story made me happy: A friend and I were sitting in a train. A nice woman with a dog was sitting behind us. My friend had lost a dog last year and being a dog-lover she still carries some goodies for dogs in her bag. She gave the dog a goodie. The owner told us that she had got that dog recently. Its owner was on the way to having the dog killed as he was tired of the dog. She said - oh, no - it is such a sweet dog (and it is) - so please let me have him. And so she got the dog. It was so sweet so it was a terrible thought that it had almost lost its life because the former owner was no longer interested in it. The dog was afraid of raised voices so she suspected that it had not been treated well. The fact that the dog survived and got a good, new home made me happy.
