How did everyone get on this morning?

Haha, I'll look out for the very tall girl in row K - if you hear someone drunkenly shouting out your username just turn round and give a quick wave to shut me up and stop the rest of my row demanding my removal!

Also, if you hear the band striking up Warning Sign it might be a good idea to try to get further down the front and away from my delirious screeching!! :D

Oh.... don't worry. Warning Sign used to be my favourite favourite faaaavourite song, so I would be singing/screeching along anyway haha! Might be :bigcry: as well!

Lol we'll clear that block between us - then I'll spot ya! :D

And for the love of Godzookie, what song could have possibly replaced Warning Sign as your favourite???? I need to know what it is - and quicksmart - so I can get my hands on it meself!

It would be a song that you already have I would guess!

SPIEEEEES!

:nice:

I just love it.... I love the Glastonbury 2002 version of it.... and the '1st version' of it. Warning Sign is still a close 2nd. Its very hard for me to pick favourites from AROBTTH and Parachutes though...

ooooooooooooh if we're starting this game, i'd be happy to hear sparks live... never heard it live before...

and yes,

i probably would cry my eyes out...

cos i love it sooooo :D

Sparks and Spies - what tunes!

You both make me sad because I'm so busy listening to ARoB it's physically impossible to listen to Parachutes as well (though trust me I have tried!)

Spies was the only track from that album it took me a long time to properly appreciate and love, but once I did 'get it' it was (and is, and always will be) sublime :) Never heard the first version of it, will try to track that down this weekend.

::Hayley:: I will put you on my list for people to invite when I win the magnificent choice!!

How did you all get tickets? Since 9am this morning, myself and my partner have been phoning and trying online to book tickets only to be told everytime that there are no tickets available. We wanted to go to the o2 Arena but after getting fed up with not being offered anything, I tried all the other venues and guess what, NO TICKETS AVAILABLE.

I am very annoyed.

I absolutely love Spies aswell! That Glastonbury 2002 version is the best live version, i was so blessed to have been there that night :D I would obviously want them to play Spies and also I'd love them to tour with a string section for the song Viva La Vida :D :D maybe this will happen, fingers crossed would be amazing if Coldplay toured with a string section :shocked2:

Damn....I am jeeeealous! I really, really wish I had gone to see them way back in the day. I'm jealous of anyone who was at that 2002 Glasto. Parachutes and the unveiling of AROBTTH tracks! Who could want more! :o

Spies is just amazing because of the buildup in it. It sounds pathetic, but the beginning of it brings tears to my eyes sometimes, its that kind of song

Can I just add how underrated I feel High Speed is too?! :)

the glastonbury 2002 gig was amazing! Clocks with the lazer, all the excitement that builded up to them coming onto stage. Everyone was dying to hear the AROBTTH stuff, was such a great gig! :D :D

Spies is my favourite Coldplay song by far I think :D

I know what you mean about "getting" Spies...

Spies and Sparks were the two tracks I always used to skip... to my total shame now of course

High Speed is amazin also crazyduckette.. and very underated...

In fact I think the whole Parachutes era is underated!

I saw them when they were only ickle tiny Coldplay in 2001 and noone really cared about them too much - i know, can you imagine? :laugh4:

And I have to say, I loved that gig more than the 2005 one... :surprised:

Both great of course...

but still...

ah the old days! when you could almost reach out and touch the band the venues were so small.. :stunned:

Indeed it is!!!

and please call me Kara, my username is a tad lame heh :)

*sigh* to be an old skool Coldplay fan...you lucky, lucky thing. Must be scary to see the scale they've grown to now. Did you ever meet them?

The smallest venue I've seen them at was the Liverpool Mountford Hall the week before Glastonbury 2002. I remember they were testing out their big screens and they kept breaking at the Liverpool gig. I love Coldplay these days but there's just something so special about the Parachutes era :D

Kara it is then!

It is scary!

I never got to meet them... I suppose if I'd really tried I might have, back in the day, but at the time I thought they were amazing and the best thing since sliced bread.. then look what happened!! BOOM! the Coldplay revolution...:laugh4:

Yeah.... they just got bigger and bigger and bigger..... and bigger.

Superstars now :o

I'd do anything to hear the old stuff! Lets hope it happens this time around :nice: Bet the tickets were cheap back then as well

2001 I saw them at V festival when Chris climbed the side of the stage :p The best one though was when we saw them at Bath Pavillion the week before Glasto in 2002. Chris was going on about how it was the sort of place where he should have been holding a raffle :D

I seen them at V2001 aswell, which site did you go to, Stafford or Chelmsford? I went to Stafford that year and they were amazing, the sun was out all day and their slot was the perfect afternoon slot :D

I managed to get tickets for the 14th at about 8pm from SeeTickets! All day trying!

Well done mate, dont know how you did that. Why do these sites say sold out at 10.30am and then allow you to buy almost 12 hours later? Then again, I was trying to buy for London which always sells out in no time.

oh nooooooooooooo Samantha, that is really sad!

that almost happened to me thismorning...

I don't think the internet ticket sites were quite ready for the massive surge of people!

Maybe you'll be lucky enough to get a ticket between now and then?

:)

Well my theory all along was that the morning tickets are always a "first batch"

I'm not sure what's up with Ticketmaster but its still not "finding my requested tickets" since 9.30am.

SeeTickets and Gigs&Tours (same thing, I know) are selling tickets now for all dates. its still hard to get through but you never know. All I did was click like crazy! :P

Am so excited! :D

This is why I recommend ticket master so much. It can handle the strain of thousands of people trying to book at one time.
