The Morning After The Night Before...

Featured Replies

Now its all calmed down a bit around these parts I think its time to assess the situation.

The poll is confidential, and its been made out of interest to see what percentage of coldplaying.com members have downbloaded the leak.

I'm thinking about 80% of votes will be people who have downloaded a leak, so lets find out for certain!

And also, mention in your post if this leak has helped you change your mind about buying the album (either because its better than you thought or possibly worse)

fine, i admit it...i downloaded the leaks! HAPPY Y'ALL?! :laugh3:

but i'm still buying the physical copy (my own reasons being that i like the album and i'm more than happy to support one of my favorite music acts).

(off on a tangent...) i'm sure most people would do the same and buy the physical copy, for whatever reasons, but also for the band having already proving themselves that they consistently make good music and are able to maintain a populous, loyal fanbase...sales wouldn't be too much of a critical problem, if that's where the concern is.

only a few artists have the ability to take the risk by sending out freebies.

the freebie method only hurts new and upcoming acts.

2 good people, and 2 people apparently oblivious to the whole thing...

I have the "early release" as I like to put it. I always buy anything they put out anyways so I'm still purchasing a physical copy.

That sounds better than LEAK!!! :laugh3:

I've preordered the album already, so whether I want it or not it's mine. :p That being said, having heard the leak, I would have paid twice what I did for the album. Effing amazing.

I will either order the album off amazon or go to a music store after its released and buy a copy.

Boy howdy, yesterday sure was fun!

You could always buy two copies :P

I'm tempted to get it on vinyl... All that artwork on 12 glorious inches...

I'll definatley be buying the digipack version as well though!

dito!

Downloaded it..but will definitely be buying the physical copy of it. You can't beat having your own physical copy of the real deal! ;)

Still haven't downloaded it. I'll wait till it's released in a few weeks here in Australia. The anticipating is growing and resisting the tempation is making it seem sooo much better :D Can't wait!

Haven't downloaded it yet. Hopefully I can wait another week-and-a-half until it appears on iTunes.

Yup. I got the leak, but it didn't change my mind towards purchasing the cd at all. It's defiently coming straight to my collection.

I went as far as starting to download it but then stopped myself. The cancel link was pressed, and I am proud. 12th June needs to come now though!

definitely getting a couple copies of the CD and gonna go vinyl hunting at the local wrecka stows the day it comes out.

and there's a reason I downloaded the leak, in my twisted little head: I see no reason why the international release dates are all staggered. So the UK gets it on a thursday, which is typically the day new US releases come out. But they don't make it concurrent? there's no reason for the delay. I was just going to download it anyways at that point. Maybe EMI could put a little more work into the consumer side of things.

That said, way to put out a corker boys! a disclaimer: having rolled through this board for years without posting, i think way too many people here are really dramatic, fanatical, and stalker-creepy-emotional about coldplay. That said, woke up this morning and played DAAHF, and got really emotional and had a tear or two. not because of some life connection, though there is that, but because the music was incredibly beautiful.

I downloaded it. And I'm also buying it on iTunes, then again in the stores. :D The leak just made me even more excited. There's more to come, I believe. Concerts and such... This is all so exciting!

Yes, I downloaded it. Yes, I love it. Yes, I will pick up a physical copy on June 17th.

hell yes i downloaded it.....will buy a hard copy for my wife's car..i even had my 11 year old daughter do a track by track review....
