Just interested as to what everyone's been up to, whether you're on vacation or working or at school or whatever, or if it's not even summer where you live! I love this time of year... no school... free time.. concerts..

I've had an awesome summer, lots of traveling. (i've been in europe for a month :stunned:) I'm getting a bit homesick though. I miss my puppy and my friends and my house. I'll be home in two weeks!

My summer has been alright, last day of school I left for California for a week. Came back and just relaxed. Did lots of reading, cooking, enjoying Euro Cup (¡Viva España!). And tomorrow is my first day of work, so whoopee.

My summer would have been bad, but the Coldplay concert has made it the best yet. :D

I was in the bay area. I stayed with my family in San Jose, but we went around Saratoga and San Fran. :D I love San Fran so frickin much.

It is my own quote, one I'm quite proud of:smug:

Wow, you are such a thinker! I can't think up really cool quotes like that.

EDIT: Fucking hell I forgot to mention the Coldplay concert on Friday night! It doesn't feel like it was part of summer...it was just a whole big thing on its own.

Oh, awesome! I live right near Berkeley, so you were pretty close by. :D I know... SF is probably my favorite place in the world.

Sweet! I love that city so much, all my friends were like 'Ooooh did you go to LA?'. :dozey: I've been there once and didn't like it at all, San Fran is much a better city! It's more cultural and has lots of beauty to offer. :nice: And the bay is lovely as well! What a beautiful view!

And as Feargal Sharkey sang: "A good heart is hard to find..............." ;)

Hehe is it really? Sometimes I think that good hearts are rare these days, but I guess as time passes I realizes there is much good in people.

Or maybe it's just that I've been spending too much time here! Who am I to say, I'm hardly an angel...

I would love to visit San Fran one day. I'm sure I would love it. I've been to L.A. and I didn't like what I saw of it. Very sprawly and smoggy, and the touristy parts come across as very "fake".

Yes, I've come across a lot of decent people on here (and very few indecent ones).

Anyway, you should check out that song. It's pretty good.

I agree with both of you! I lived in LA for 7 years, and I've lived in San Fran for 8 years now, and I like SF so much more. It's not only a prettier city, it's just a whole lot more cultured and well-rounded than LA, plus the weather up here has quite a lot more variety. I love my city. :wacky:

How did you come to move there?

The closest I've actually been is Lake Tahoe (for a skiing holiday). I loved it there.

I was also impressed with Santa Monica.;)

I would say L.A. lacked character, while from what I've seen, San Fran has heaps.;)
