Very nice quote, 2732!

As for my summer, it's all about Scrubs, Coldplay, Norway Cup, and being bored!

How did you come to move there?

The closest I've actually been is Lake Tahoe (for a skiing holiday). I loved it there.

I was also impressed with Santa Monica.;)

I would say L.A. lacked character, while from what I've seen, San Fran has heaps.;)

Lake Tahoe is fabulous! I was there about two weeks ago.

Well, I lived in LA until I was 7 years old, and then my dad got the option to transfer (for work) to either San Diego or San Francisco, and my parents decided on San Francisco... which I'm so glad that they did. :)

Yes, San Fran has loads of character! There's just so much there to offer and it's just very welcoming and nice. And people there are friendly! I love seeing the street performers doing crazy dances and stuff.

I personally loved going to Fisherman's Wharf and having the clam chowder in a bread bowl! That's a must in San Fran, I think. :D And checking out that Bread factory there as well. If you ever go on the ferry tours in the bay, BRING A JACKET! Gets mighty windy! :wacky:

Are you a native of Philly??

So have you ever met up with Annie?

Hehe it is, tell me if you ever visit! :D

No, I haven't met Christina yet, but that'd be cool if there was a Philly Coldplayers meet-up, no?

:D! it would!

maybe next coldplay concert or something like that? if they come back for the vlv tour? (WHICH WOULD BE AMAZING)

Oh yes!! That'd be so awesome!!! Coldplayer tailgating before the show. :laugh3: That'd be so much fun! Totally.

And something tells me that they're always going to come back to Philly. They love the crowds here it seems! :D We're such a fun audience, hehe.

As that could be some way off, couldn't you guys meet up in town for coffee or something, and then post a pic of the occasion?

Hahaha yeah we could, though I don't know what part of Philly Christina lives in, so we'd have to exchange some info. :D

My summer was going pretty well up until recently. Because of all the great Coldplay stuff going on in the last couple of months and the fact that I have a job I really enjoy (I work at a camp with a group of 5-year-old boys and I absolutely love them), things were going pretty well. Unfortunately, one of my very close friends passed away this past weekend after a really long and difficult struggle with cancer. I'm still trying to sort it all out for myself, and it just seems strange that something so sad could happen when everything else is going so well. She was only 23, and was working toward becoming a teacher. I know she would have been a great one. In fact, she was the one who inspire me to pursue the field of education myself. She was absolutely the most selfless person I have ever know and with the strongest spirit. I am trying my hardest to concentrate on all the great things she did in her life how she has impacted everyone she ever met.

Oops. Sorry to dump all that on you guys, though I know from experience that the people on this forum are generally very sincere and compassionate. But that's how my summer's been- rough. I've been trying to get my mind off of the bad stuff, mostly. I really love working with my 5-year-olds and I am finally, getting a car, so those are definitely pluses. :D

I hope everyone else's summer has been going slightly better than mine. :)

I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss- she sounds like she was an amazing and lovely person, and it's frustratingly saddening how people can just be taken out of our lives so abruptly like that. I hope everything gets better for you and for her family.

SwallowedInSea - I feel sorry for your loss. I hope you and her family and friends will recover from it successfully. *hugs*

My summer's been great so far - firstly, a Radiohead concert in June and secondly, all exams done :D I feel so great now. :nice: And then in July - scout camp (only for 6 days though :() and then England for 2 weeks and I wanna return there soooo bad, and I also met Sally there :nice:. A day after I came back home I went to another camp to help the staff members do their job (but most of the time I was just sitting there, not doing anything although I rediscovered my slight liking of physics and chemistry and biology) and now I'm home, searching for a job.

oh well actually I think my summer will be great although I have a lot of uni stuff to do..I'll be on vacations for 3 months but I still have to do a lot of homework...but I will also spend a lot of time with my friends...:D
