"I needed some money. So i brought my son down to good ole toms and imagine my suprise when he gave me twenty four dollars for him! good ole tom!"

Very true. :P What's with the turtle at the end?

nothing:laugh3:

Having lived in Connecticut for 13 years and now going to a college that picks up Connecitcut news channels (FOX-61 to name just one, possibly also NBC-30?), I have actually seen these commercials on TV.

He always says in his commercials, "Gold is at a 30-year high!" I can just picture him telling his grandkids stories from before gold was at this supposed 30-year high:

"Ooh, kiddies, I remember back when gold was at a 20-year low! Ho, hooo, those were some pretty rough times for Good Ol' Tom, I'll tell you what!"

So do you just sit around all day thinking of puns? :P

Pretty much!!

Ol' Tom. Apply directly to the forehead. Ol' Tom. Apply directly to the forehead. Ol' Tom... :P

HAHAHAHAA Good ol' tom nd HEAD ON- APPLY DIRECTLY TO THE FOREHEAD

LMAO :D

sadly, i know exactly who good ol' tom is because i live in CT. every time i see one of the commercials, i find myself wondering if he actually takes himself seriously.

Or when Good Ol' Gordon sold off most of the UK's gold reserves when gold was at a 20-year low to raise money to give out to single mums.
