Why is Gladiator Such a Good Movie?!

Featured Replies

I've never loved a movie so much in my life. Everything about it is famazing. The acting, the music, the scenery, the story. I've only seen it 7 times but omg. This movie is just MIND BLOWINGLY good.

Gladiator is my favorite movie. Well, I have other favorites too, but Gladiator is my first favorite lol

I love it for the same reasons you do :)

LoL if you've seen Pineapple Express, one of the characters yells out "What we do in life, echoes in eternity!" as he was beating up another character. I guess I was the only Gladiator fan in the audience both times I saw PE because I was the only one cracking up on the Gladiator reference. A part of me was disappointed about that lol

Gladiator sucks

I love that movie, one of my all time favorites. It is so brilliant and epic and has a great climax and ending.:D

And an awesome soundtrack!

yes yes. so true. the music is moving and helps make the movie.;)

I also loved the costumes and wardrobes.

Only movie to make me cry. And that takes a bit.

Goddamn it's awesome.

Right up there next to The Dark Knight!

It's so good because the woods were the battle at the start of the movie was shot are the same woods that Chris walks through in the video for The Scientist. Apparently.

Serious?

^really? Wow!

Yeah, Gladiator is one of my all time faves as well, next to Forrest Gump and the LOTR trilogy... Ah, every single time I watch this I just cry like a baby at the end. It's so moving! Ugh, I wanna watch it again.

Joaquin Pheonix played an amazing antagonist. I just loved him in this movie. Such a complex character.

I love Gladiator! I still remember seeing it in theaters and being blown away! Awesome storyline, awesome actors and I really love the music! I had to buy the soundtracks! :)

I cry everytime I watch it. It just hits you. Amazing film, acting, cinematography, costumes, script, above all: MUSIC. One of my favorite soundtracks.

And Joaquin Phoenix gave one of my favorite performances of all time. I love to hate him, he's amazing in this. (Should have won the Oscar.)
