August 26, 200817 yr i ran away chords ^ (oops sorry, i forgot to say that didn't I?) Correct, it's just Standard tuning. ;) *sigh* they are just lovely chords, so pretty. But remember, as with most Coldplay songs, you need to use your thumb for the 6th string
August 26, 200817 yr ^ No problem. You're welcome ;) Do you know a lot of Coldplay songs on the guitar? Or songs that require use of the thumb? Oh, and welcome to the board, by the way
August 27, 200817 yr Author I know a few of the coldplay songs, but before I learn them all the way, I tend to find another one to play :P I just picked up the guitar so I haven't gotten the chance to play anything other than coldplay :) And thanks!
August 27, 200817 yr I wrote this out years ago...it's good enough. Coldplay - I Ran Away Intro and verse; Chords | (Fret Position) C#m7 (9-11-11-9-0-0) G#m(#5) (4-6-6-4-0-0) Aadd9 (5-7-7-6-0-0) G#m(#5) (4-6-6-4-0-0) Chorus; Emajor (0-2-2-1-0-0) F#7add11 (2-4-4-3-0-0) D6add9 (10-12-12-11-0-0) Aadd9 (5-7-7-6-0-0) Repeat D6add9 and Aadd9 at end of chorus No guitar chords in the next bit but play what I have written below as it works. Piano Break; C#m (X-X-X-6-5-4) or (X-4-6-6-5-4) F#m (X-X-X-6-7-5) or (2-4-4-2-2-5) Emajor (X-X-X-4-5-4) or (0-2-2-1-0-4) F#m (X-X-X-6-7-5) or (2-4-4-2-2-5) Before the solo, you can play Amajor (5-7-7-6-5-5) instead of the F#m The Outro Solo is just the Chorus chords. Thats it , Enjoy Tabbed By Gareth Williams ([email protected])
