We're off to Lyon with the band

 

Good morning. We're pleased to announce that we're heading to Lyon with Coldplay today, from where we'll be updating the site with behind-the-scenes footage throughout the afternoon and evening. So keep it locked (as they say) to Coldplay.com.

You must be dying!! I hated it when i didn't win the tickets to the free MSG concert. i was all knotted up inside. I only live 17 miles from the city and it was killing me that i was not there. but then my prayers were answered by (thanks Ian for the 60,0000 time) winning the Today show VIP tickets:rolleyes:

The Coldplay.com crew has probably just finished their 3 hours French lunch in one of the many unexpensive delicious gastronomic Lyon restaurants,:cool:

 

which could explain why their afternoon starts so late :D

It's nearly 5 in France now, soundcheck is over, the doors open in like 2 hours, get a wriggle on :P

What I mean is, with the aperitive upfront, the great local red wine during, and the digestive (cognac etc.) with the coffee, these things tend to take hours :D

 

and when you have the chance to get one, it is hard to pass. :flutterby:

 

If they went sight seeing and/or eating proper french food, well it would actually be worth making pictures of it.

 

And we are waiting... and waiting..

3.45pm: We're in the venue and the band are just off to soundcheck. We'll report back from there soon. In the meantime, here are a few pictures.
