September 5, 200817 yr hey peeps, i just brought an acoustic guitar im an extremly big noob so im wondering if anyone has any easy coldplay tabs for any song i dont care i love them all :P thanks :D
September 5, 200817 yr Yellows pretty easy, G, D and C chords for the verse. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/coldplay/yellow_ver4_crd.htm The chorus is a set of fast chord changes, but this was the first song I ever really clicked with. Make the rhythm as easy as you want, I just do up, down as I sing, makes singing nice and easy. It's a great song to get to grips with, and one everyone likes to hear. The Scientist is also easy if you find a video on Youtube by this scottish guy, its not hard to find. Just youtube The Scientist lesson. Both these songs require capos (they shorten the strings), yet really they'll just sound slightly more heavy without them. They say Rush of Blood to the head is easy too, I can see how but you'll need to detune your guitar so the bottom E is a C, which may be advanced for a complete noob :) find your B string (above the little e or thinnest string) press down on fret 2. then play the 2 strings, and tune the little E to sound like the B when the 2nd fret is down. Other easy songs would be Lucky Man / Sonnet by the Verve. Run / Chasing cars by Snow Patrol and High and Dry by Radiohead or Starlight by Muse and One to U2 (those bands are big around here, so im just telling you)
September 6, 200817 yr Sorry to start on an off note, but those aren't the actual chords for yellow. It's B, F#, E, but with tuning EABDGd#. We'll get you those chords in a sec, but for a beginner...I started out with green eyes and Don't Panic so try those. here's green eyes: http://www.911tabs.com/link/?284688 which is normally played capo 2, but it's not vitally important. http://www.911tabs.com/link/?3691354 this tab for yellow isn't perfect, but the intro and verse are right and the chorus chords are: 020100, 4x4400, 202300 I wouldn't suggest yellow until later though, work with open chords like in green eyes to get the basics. for more tabs use either 911tabs or ultimate-guitar...
September 6, 200817 yr Yeah just you try B if your a beginner tho its going to slow you down when you just want to learn and play something. The chords I suggested are the easiest ones there are pretty much. And with a capo on the 4th fret it does sound a lot like Yellow. And if you don't have a capo, people still know what your playing anyway. Way I see it the chord progression of the song can be an different set of chords really as long as they relate to each other. You'll notice B is relational to F and E the same way G is to D and C. Its kinda a pattern all songs use. Key of B or key of G, its the same song. Plus im pretty sure Yellow is played an an electric and a classic guitar anyway. As I said tho, you make the song as hard or easy as you like, as long as it sounds like it and you can keep it consistant its fine. Greeneyes uses the same chords as the first version of Yellow + some more, its far harder to play. Yellow is open chords. Don't panic Im not sure on. Try this guy tho, looks simple enough. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENmAqbNE37c And the Scientist I was talking about http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFe2fO2zvw8 This ones just a matter of timing, theres not much to it at all.
September 8, 200817 yr The scientist is great if you plan to sing as well, because the strumming pattern is really basic. If you're really into coldplay (like me :dozey:) you should know that your thumb is a great tool. That is if you want to play the songs the way chris does. Is your guitar steel or nylon-stringed?
September 8, 200817 yr don't panic is quite easy.... lost is easy too... may I suggest you high speed, only superstition and shiver...... :P just kidding on those
September 9, 200817 yr speaking of shiver and only superstitions those two i still can't play :laugh3:
September 9, 200817 yr Shivers credenso must be pretty hard but the rest of the song doesn't look too differcult.
