A recent issue of Time Magazine had Josh Tyrangiel listing down the summer songs of 2008:

I dont see me liking any of those other tracks except for coldplay's I think ALL summer long is a boring song..... Blleeding love is shite.... and No matter what is a repetitive rap song (UGGHHH!!) Nah! R&B or Pop songs dont catch my attention....

I think Viva La Vida was this summer's hit song. Hands down. Everyone I knew was playing it on their iPods.

American Boy and Love In This Club is a joke. However I don't disagree with Disturbia - you've gotta admit, that song is catchy.

I hate Disturbia, only the first time I heared it was OK but Viva should be 1 or 2. The only song I JUST about mind is Kid Rock. Its quite good!!

Disturbia has some of the most cliched lyrics I have ever heard. Tis catchy.

Ā

And I still love American Boy.

Viva La Vida... wow... listen that song everyday everytime...!

Ā

But well... I must recognize PCD's song, When I Grow Up... I like it... :shy:

Au contraire - I must not recognise it D<

Well except for VLV I don't like or ever listened to any of these songs but, yeah, Rihanna and Kate Perry were big this summer. However, I would have put Coldplay a bit higher on the list just because VLV was simply EVERYWHERE.

Lil Wayne simply did not fire here. He never does.

This makes Cobalt one happy duck :D

AGREED

right in between katy perry and pussy cat dolls...why am I not surprised?

Thank God. I want to say us Aussie's have a good taste in music, but then I remember all the other crap that makes it into the charts sometimes.

Like No Air... that beat VLV to #1 on the singles chart.... *shudder*

*sighs* They were so close.

Jordin Sparks is in Sydney at the moment, if I see her, I'll smack her on behalf of us. Ditto when Chris Brown comes here.

!

Ā

Hamish and Andy had her on the Fox and asked her what kind of tricks she had (Chris was mentioned, hoo hah!) for stage. :shifty:

Ā

I just missed her. >| Hunting time...

Should have been # 1 but I guess I'm a little biased lol.

Ā

That's the song I'll remember when I look at back at summer 08, hands down.

All summer long at #1 ? It“s nothing but a bad new version of sweet home alabama :/

Viva should be #1, of course :dozey:
