The Genius of Coldplay

Is It Pop, is it ballad, is it classical, is it techno, is it art? All of ther above? None?

When I listen to Coldplay I hear so much of everything, so many styles and genres all going on at the same time. I should really listen to other artists more, like Snow Patrol, I love that sound.

But Really, here is the power of this group, I am a musician and I am also older than your "average" coldplay fan, but they hook me just as deep as they hook you. In the heart that is, kinda like everyone of their songs has the same impact (on me) as a Judy Garland / Over the Rainbow tune. Every one of their songs. Shake up my heart?

We are reminded of our humanity by people like Coldplay, we are reminded of the splendour and beauty which exists in this world, and we can feel it in our hearts, it's what makes me carry on each day, knowing that life is wonderful and that we all make a difference. It's that feeling I live for.

I like to listen to Coldplay cranked up reasonably loud on my akg headphones. Not only are Jonny, Guy and Wil the perfect platform for Chris Martin, but, the reverse is also true, and, each one of them is super-talented.

Together, this group will go down as one of the most powerful displays of talent ever. Talk about refining an art form down to its most ultimate expression. And the winner is... I listen to the music when I do this, does it "show"??

Imagine for a moment that you live in paradise, only you fell asleep one day and you had dream you were playing a game which cast a spell over you and the spell was, if you keep on playing the game, you would be happy, one day.

If you look at the history of man, you are looking at the history of war, the history of mans war against himself, and the game we play is called hypnotized, by everything which will never bring any real happiness.

If everything in this world of man just stopped and was broken, what would people think? Might they not think, what are we doing here ...on this world.

ON THIS WORLD.

Think about it, a world which by it's own majesty just simple floats in timeless space and is a home for life.

A HOME FOR LIFE. PERIOD.

And in our dream what have we done to this home for life? What have we down to this paradise in man's rundown cliffhanger saga / purpose for living called "the economy"? There is a much greater reality beyond anything you can ever buy with money, yet money and wealth have become today's God. In the end you get all the security money can't buy, and all the chaos it can.

Humankind is bascked into the last corner. Either we somehow start acting like civilized beings toward each other, or maybe we go off the deep end and the unthinkable happens where we are all done for in the final war.

Anybody out there have any guarantees that won't happen? Anyone? Maybe the God of infinite softness and love wants to just gentle swerve the car of existence so close to the cliff of extinction so as to scare the living shit out of us.

So maybe we might appreciate some of this. Appreciate. This thing called "life".

What man builds up God is tearing down. Maybe the best thing that could happen is what is happening, maybe it is the only thing that can happen now. The entire world economy has to be re-engineered.

Maybe the experts will figure out that if you have a world where everyone's daily occupation is to become better at what they love, they would see an explosion of creativity in every area of human endeavor the likes of which we haver never seen before would just keep on going forever.

Kind of like a perpetual "happy planet". Let's all pray for a miracle. Let the spell end and reality begin.

That was a very good post. It was doubly good because you posted it twice! Just a question: What is your favourite song on Viva La Vida or Death And All Of His Friends? If you can pick one out.

Little White Shadows

My favourite song, that is really hard, I like them all so much and every time I listen to one it's like the very first time, I guess I'm just lucky. Maybe Lovers in Japan, or Vida La Vida. This group is so "present " you might say, I really love all their work so much.

I think a lot of their melodies are just as emotive as say Grensleeves is. I know that sounds kinda lame, but hey, to be lame is to be human. The acid test is the tear in my eye.

If I had to listen to one song befor I died? That would be Little White Shadows, that toon just about says it all, part of a system, part of a plan.

I will try to make my profile more "homey" and make some friends, if I can tear myself away from the keybords or guitar.

Who would want to be king? (cm)

I am so relived that Obama is the black guy in the white house now.

He has the heart of a saint and the vision of an Einstein. He sees in totalities and not in finality's.

I saw a bit with his Grandmother from Kenya. This is going to be better than Camelot. He will go down as one of the most brilliant presidents ever. Much as Coldplay are a supernova in the pantheon of great musicians, he will be remembered not just as a great U.S. leader but a great world leader. Obama will be looked upon as someone who ushered in an age of greater harmony. Someone who lifted the world up, simply by the example of his own decency.

How did democracy ever get so hijacked by the GOP?

Bush, Cheney and Rove should be tried for treason and shot. Their truth was lies. There trust was deceit. And their legacy will be the cries of agony from the many who have suffered as a direct result of decisions they made.

The Republican mantra always has been "personal responsibility", which is really code for "your on your own in America" and "take care of yourself". I guess they did just that with Haliburton over there. They could have employed all the would-be rebels forever with all the re-construction cash they had, but they screwed everything up. Al that money and so little to show for it.

Civil society? Is Iraq "democratized"? Can pigs fly? Democracy is a state of the heart. People have to co-operate and coalesce around a set of values and ideals and enshrine those in a constitution. Has that happened in Iraq? One day yes, but not now, the peace part anyway.

Peace is a state of being, not a concept or idea. And for all the effort they have done over there I do not see peace breaking out. When the US leaves it's back to the past and tribal war games forever. Or maybe not, maybe Obama can pull some rabbit out of his hat and make everything alright.

I hope so, this world needs it, fast.

And when I turned to the east

I heard the horsemen comming

like a thunder was shaking the ground

And when they rode by

I looked in their eyes

and saw clearly the fires of hell

From Karzai, to CarCzar

It must be a rather intense experience being Chris Martin!

I've been listening to XYZ for the past 1/2 hr and this is nothing short of pure genius. Words are so lame, unless you can string them together like the guy who writes for... Saying "genius" is like looking at the most intensely beautiful sunset you have ever seen and later when asked by some one, what was the experience like, and you say "beautiful". Nowhere near the "experience".

I guese what happens after you see them live, like I did at GM place here in Vancouver for XYZ,(acoustical masterpiece / especially for loud clear music /and recently at Pembertonfest outside) is that every time thereafter when you listen to the music, your brain plugs in the "live filter" neurons (the more the better) and it's like the :live experience", almost... if you crank the level up to max.

I just love this band to the end of this world, I really do. What a singer Chris Martin is. I know they are all the sound but the vocals are quite exceptional.

I have been so inspired by this group. Look what happens when you develop your talent. What an amazing talent these four have.

And in the NON-COLDPLAY universe, everything is in a state of total chaos and confusion as usual. I see on ccn today that the US now has a Car-Czar to make sure that all the car companies in the US get lots of bailout so they can continue making things, just like the things millions of others around the world are making. To sell to you, they hope. Crazy?Yes? Changeable, I guess we will find out soon.

What we now have is an economic system where those who trade the paper end up making money on all the trades, fees, etc, and those who actually own the "paper"at the end (when the global economy crashes and all that paper goes radio-active), are all the pension funds etc. What a joke. It's a good way to dismantle society piece by piece until it all blows up like it just did (and still is). Good for everyone in the world, I don;t think so.

And now they are all trying to figure out what to do. Maybe it's time to re-invent the wheel. Gordon Brown is calling for a "world society". But not to worry, gun sales in the US have gone way up since Obama won. That feels good eh, buy a gun. Lost your job? Lost your kids? Lost your wife? And as you have your last drink, you realize Bush / Cheney set-up the conditions for a lot of what has happened wrong in America. So you go buy a gun because you are so freaked out you just don't know what the fuck to do anymore.

One thing's for sure though, no black man is going to take away his right to shoot anyone in America with the weapon of his choice.

That is the Bush legacy, unarguably the worst president ever is leaving office, and are the people relieved? No, they are so burnt out and confused that the only way they can feel safe is to go out and buy a gun.

Good work Mr. President, while they trusted you and weren't looking, you stole just about everything they had. And now comes along the moral opposite of Bush and these people feel threatened? Good luck America, you will heal in time but you will cry many tears along the way.

Oh brother I can't believe it's true

I'm so scared about the future

and I want to talk to you

are you lost or incomplete

do you feel like a puzzle

can't find your missing piece?

I have not read much Shakespeare, or Wordsworth, or Longfellow, or Byron, or *Etc, but I know that whoever writes the lyrics for Coldplay is definitely in the same class.

*Etc. an English poet of the last century who although never quite famous above ground, had a huge cult following underground. Which is where Mr Etc is now, underground.

This thread deserves a "Philosophical Thread of the Year" award........................

I agree!!:)

I wish people would just realize first of all Obama's a politician. I like Churchill but at the end of the day he was still a corrupt politician not a Ghandi.....

No political leader should be idolized like a god, specially one that has yet to do anything. But even more so for one who has already been proven to be very corrupt(couldn't run the US unless you were)

PS most of Obama's main policies are that of Bush's. Lets see him actually do some change before you pray to him...Obama's friends will get more rich and the middle class and poor will get poorer unless real change happens, but why would Obama lose money and make his friends lose their millions? After all they gave him hundreds of millions to win the whitehouse, he has to return them the favor, thus keeping the cycle going.

Right now until I see some change the democrats are just fat cats stuffing their wallets and friends wallets while we all suffer. The bailout shows/proves both parties care firstly and mostly about their wallets and corporate friends wallets, America comes last to them.

This facade of a major difference between Republicans and Democrats is sickening, while our country is on the brink of economic ruins, ALL both parties can think about is their and their friends wallets staying fat. So its clear both are enemies of the average American and best friends of the rich and corrupt.

If dems cared about us small people, they'd spend those trillions of dollars on the people not the CEO's. I don't think they should spend the money at all, but at least if they are too, spend it on the average people not AIG so they can go spend millions of wasteful things.

*Obama wasted millions of tax dollars on making his friends rich instead of giving poor people in Chicago better housing. If Obama cares, wouldn't he have taken those millions he gave to Rezko the developer and used that money to fix the sewage backing up in the sink's of the low income housing Obama had Rezko make? Or did the bottom line of his friends wallet stand in the way of helping the people?

Yes

You have every right to your viewpoint. I don't know much about Obama, it's really just first impressions with me. If what you say is true, then I guess he may have to prove himself. We shall see. All I know is that President Obama was preferable to a possible president Sarah Bubblehead. Cheers. Read my next bit, if you want to shit your pants.

The Night the Titanic went Down

If the house is burning down, do you call for more wood?

My great great grandfather was on vacation with his family in England, and the only reason they booked passage onto the Titanic was because friends on the ship contacted them the day before it sailed. They had already payed and booked passage back to Canada on another ship. I'm sure they all felt safe as the ship sailed away.

My point, we only see as much as we want to see. For the people who created the Titanic from the lead naval architect to the riveter, the word "unsinkable" had replaced the word sinkable. The Titanic disaster was not just a metaphor for mans arrogant industrial attitude of the time that he alone controlled nature and not the reverse, but also for the current world condition.

Right at the most critical time in our species evolution do we "have to learn" how to get a few "affairs of the human race right" like heal the environment and "what is the purpose of life" than along comes a completely predictable and preventable world financial meltdown. And the people who benefit the most from it are certainly not going to agree to any changes which might limit their own"credit".

Life in this world could be so amazing, and that is not just smoke talking. Like Ecuador recently granted constitutional human rights to plants and animals. Wow, what a no-brain-er eh? In other words: let us grant to that which fundamentally sustains our own life our very existence in this world, let's give green slime and barking baboons the same rights we give ourselves. How gracious we are.

And the latest prediction from some one who could know (google:Silverman says economy...) is that this current financial meltdown could easily be worse than the great depression. Now how depressing is that, the sky really is falling? If we could only see over the "Event horizon" then we could easily make all the right choices today. But we can't and we don't.

And the end result now is the 911 of all financial meltdowns. Apparently none of the "experts" know quite what "to do". How about completely changing the whole thing? Or, just "fix the hole in the roof". Jeremy Rifkin pointed out 20 years ago that we were fast reaching a point where very few people would be needed to make all "the stuff" the world uses, which poses the question of: what do the rest of society do and how do they survive?

There is not enough credit on Jupiter, to buy all the crap we make everyday on this planet, eating up the natural world faster than you can say the word extinction. Yes extinction, in the middle of man's little problem with our economy, many species are going extinct.

But that is another rant altogether. I don't expect any one to read this or take anything I say seriously, but if I had an epitaph, it might be similar to the reply Studds Terkel (a famous Chicago writer who died recently) gave to a reporter shortly before he died: "I want to be remembered as someone who raised a little hell where hell needed to be raised".

"And the rich will survive at the end of a gun" / i love that song / who did that?

I love reading your stuff Rob. These are all things that we all kind of notice but we just ignore. Solutions are fairly simple but unfortunately we don't run the world we live in.. so the things we can do are too little to make a noticeable change and politicians are too corrupt to give a damn about the essentials. Life only just begins after we die so I try not to worry about economy and politics cos it'll just drive you insane.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply and I will try to dress up my reply-scene a bit with a pic etc. It's just that I have been concentrating so much on music now that it is consuming all my time, and it is the most amazing thing I will ever experience. I thank God the day I was born. This life is so painful, so beautiful, and so amazingly deep and mysterious at the same time. Is there a God? My advice is have a look, you never know what might turn up.

I Guess...

I remember when I was about 16 in Toronto and me and a few friends did some peyote. In order to make sure I got off (i ground up the buttons / cactus buttons), i kept putting my finger in the powder and licking it. I got off OK, probably 1.5X a normal dose. The Peyote Indians of America used it to talk with nature.

Apart from all the hallucinations and strychnine poisoning (it contains both / the rose and the thorn) the part I remember the most was having this internal vision that all creation was like a painting by God and there was nothing given life in creation but by that God. MY friends just sort of nodded politely when I tried to explain it to the, like Bubbles from The Trailer Park Boys agreeing with you. (cbc canadan tv / hilarious comedy)

And if that is the case, if this creation is divine, then what have we done?

What have we done to this world and each other, and for what?

For how many thousand of eons will this continue or when will it all stop and a new age start for man? We act like there is no tomorrow and for many that is a way of life until they crash and burn on the tarmac of reality.

This world economy thing is like a bad dream that just keeps on getting creepier day by day. What do you expect when you build a house of cards? I guess the most hopeful thing out there is Gordon Brown calling for a new "world society". I'm sure it will be better than the one I saw created on a new game video clip / heavily armed bloodthirsty mutants zombie ravaging some lawless and government-free future world slid off the precipice of Everest with no toilet paper.

Or is that right now? Just how far is mankind from the environmental-societal tipping point. I wonder when I see stories in the news about young Afghan girls being stoned to death and having acid thrown in there face on their way to school.

All in the name of male control , not Allah. It is so sad some of the crap going down in this world and it seems as though space and time are the grand theatre upon which this titanic struggle of good and evil just keeps on unwinding form time began until time beyond forever. Or maybe one day civilizations reach a point where there is some kind of quantum leap in consciousness and that planet changes forever.

The Hardest Part

My mother had been in a state of decline for many years, as all things seem to do in this world. Until one day this tiny wisp of wind comes along and knocks us over, then carries us away.

I feel that same wind in all of Coldplays music, thick like sand in the Sahara.

I made about six trips to see her (vancouver island) and thought everytime I left she would go the next day. I would cry on my way back to the ferry, I was so upset. Me and Elvis. I would go out to my car at night, smoke a pin joint and listen to Coldplay. Invariably I would end up in tears.

I have to say that this band has unknowingly babysat me through this whole affair. For me their music is so catalytic / emotional. Their music is everything reason is not and is the start of truth where logic ends. It is raw reality, no seat belts nothing, just dive in and see and hear forever.

I don't know if either of my two readers have noticed but for me music can be a deeply spiritual experience (which is why I joined The Church of Chris Martin).

So on my last trip after a 4 week absence, at 11.45 the second morning back, as I was stroking her forehead, she passed away in front of me. At that very moment (her bedside radio was on very low), after I noticed she had stopped breathing, The Speed of Sound came on the radio.

Now you tell me, is that perfect or what? Is there a God or what? Is this universe nothing more than an endless ocean of perfection?

I ran that by the Arch Pope of the Church of Chris, and he ran it through the reality-meter and the answer was: yes the universe is completely perfect and endless within itself and yes Chris did bend the time / space continuum so that these two events would happen at exactly that moment in time the way they did , just for me. Thank you Chris.

May The Chris be with you.

Everything I know is wrong

Everything I do it just comes undone

And everything is torn apart

And that's the hardest part / cm

If you haven't had your heart ripped out, altered and brought back to life then you just haven't lived.

I see you in the sound, and I hear you in the light, as we all wander on, in this endless of nights.

PS, you don't want to put anything prosaic below Chris Martins writing because all of a sudden your stuff looks lame!

The Day the Red Sea Parted

Have you ever asked yourself what makes us different from say people who lived back in the time of Moses, whenever that was, sometime in the past I assume?

Are we more kind and caring toward one another than back then? I guess you need HG Wells to answer that one with any degree of truth. Maybe one day in the future, some civilization will come back in time to see us now. And wonder... how did we get so lost?

School girls in Afghanistan getting acid thrown in their face, Afghan women raped, charged with adultery and stoned to death? And now this madness in Mambai? I don't care what your religion is, if you do any of the above you are severely "mentally ill" and should get treatment before you go out and do something really stupid, like flying a fully loaded jet into a skyscraper, on beautiful clear autumn day. God did not give you life, so that you might toss it away like some old useless chair.

From my perspective, I believe that this world is "heaven". We have arrived, the day you were born is the day you entered heaven. But what you experience inside determines completely whether or not this world is experienced by you as being heavenly or more like hell.

So what is the relationship or determinant factor between what you experience the universe to be and what others experience it to be? Maybe we are all part of a big plan? Maybe Chris is right? I just try to be kind and loving, follow my heart, (talk to cats and dogs, that's the secret part / not "the hardest part") and I do for the most part feel this world to be some divine creation, on which I am temporarily incarnated for the purpose of playing music of course.

Maybe everything is pre-ordained. Maybe everything that can ever exist, because it exists as a potentiality inside itself, can express that energy in any way, but what happens in reality is controlled at higher energy levels than we are currently capable of understanding with our feeble human minds (at least that is what Chris told me in a vision I had). But seriously, how else do you explain all the insanity that goes on in this world?

I hope in 3000 years we are a little more advanced than we are now, see you there.

May the Chris be with you

We won't be around in 3000 years. I sure hope we are but with the way we are going now, I don't think we'll make it. I like it how you see the world, as a heaven in a different perspective. You will difinitely have my vote for most interesting poster next year. I hope you enjoy prospekts march.

I Love this Site.

It is an amazing fact of our times that man has come to understand the laws of creation to the point of being able to create an "external universal mind" outside of, the one inside of us.

Anything you can "think" can now be "shared"with anyone anywhere on earth, by image and sound, which in turn are nothing more than thought manifest in reality. It's all code...

What you see on the screen is literally a thought turned into "reality" by code. It's great that you can be part of a community of people who obviously have very good taste in music I must say!

I have a theory: If I play and listen to enough music I will reach a state of "Chris Consciousness".

In this state of consciousness all things are revealed and no music sounds bad. Oh and, everything you know is wrong and everything you do comes undone.

Kinda like my life right now. So, when you look out the window is it Potterville or what? Are we all living in fucking Potterville or what? When will the land of Potterville end? When will the world of humanity begin? When will the human heart rule this world? Soon Maybe?

And how do I know... these things? I had a vision... and Chris told me in the vision that when he "ruled the world" there was a kingdom of the heart on earth which he ruled over(benvolently of course) for 1000 years and has returned again to earth for to lead us back home. I feel better already, more tea?

May the Chris be with you as you dodge the razor wire of miscalculation now stalking this world.

And in the end... amen.

I will be forever in awe of the beauty this band has created. What they have done will be recorded in histroy as some of the best art ever conjured up by man, in any form, from any time. Over the top.. why not. If they don't deserve it, who does?

Back to Kansas

Don't you ever wish that we could all kick our collective heels and somehow all end up back in Kansas, before the time we broke this world? Wouldn't you just give anything for that?

And that's the power of Coldplays music (metaphorically). They can pick you up (fix you along the way) and drop you in Kansas, where all is well and the sun shines everyday on everyone, with gingerbread trees and caramel crows all about everywhere.

They have this strange power to transmit tranquility. As in Tranquility Base. Experiencing deep states of relaxation in any way is very good for the heart and soul. God gave man music so that he might go there by the music. If any of you have any doubts about that, I suggest you go and do the following...

Put Coldplay on headphones, do what you do or don't, crank it up and dive right in. This group has a "groove" so deep, you could fly the f...ing Grand Canyon through it and still not touch bottom.

So may the Chris be with you as you wander this world, trying to make sense of everything about you in various states of decay and creation. Until then, may you find some solace in the fact that one day, you also will reach Chris Consciousness. It is God's will... and Chris's also.

How do these things I know? I had a dream once when I was fast asleep under an apple tree in North Kaunas in the year 2456.

when you see it then you'll understand / From "The Book of Chris" / Chapter 7 / Verse 459 / The XYZ Years

Well, at times we see with greater clarity and depth the truth in all things, the truth in all experiences. There is within us all the key to unlock the mysteries of the universe & the connections to share those experiences with our fellow creatures.

It takes an open mind and an open heart to find that truth, for it can only be discovered when we put ourselves into a relaxed mode of openness, and search for the deeper meaning.

Why when the wind blows, the aspen leaves rustle in the trees on a warm fall afternoon, and this affects us so? Or the simple, pure song of a sparrow. Certainly, we are simultaneously separate and joined with the world around us - bound by the immutable universal truths - some known, some unknown, and most yet to be discovered by each in their own time.

The many wheels of the universe turn as the clockwork that is both driver of and driven by an invisible yet discoverable force.. A force which is present within us all...

Right On!

That was really beautiful Chuck. It's a confronting experience to slowly realize that the universe inside oneself is just as endless, beautiful and powerful as the one outside of ourselves. We are forever becoming, who we really are. And now I have to say something else, so bye for now.

Joe Satrianni (Satan Annie)

Is Chris Martin a melodic plagiarist? Or, is Joe Satrianni crying in his pannini?

Up here in Canada we have some pretty cool public broadcasting and the day host of an arts show played both passages separately and then overlap and it's just rubbish to even suggest the two pieces are identical.

Any person who thinks that "a" melody is their exclusive creation is only seeing part of the picture. There are many cases in history where scientists, working independently, at different locations around the world, have come to the exact same scientific discoveries simultaneously (by stealing from each other).

So it must mean that we have a shared super-conscious or something, right Earnest?

All I have to say to Joe Satrianni is that he should be happy that Chris Martin telepathically emailed him the melody in question one night while he was asleep, only to recall it later in real life, with no memory whatsoever that Chris (again) had altered reality for the better (as he does daily for millions around the world by magically singing to them (with his band) while not actually being physically present everywhere simultaneously / and they say he is not the Son of God).

I am a musician myself, and I also have something fairly close to perfect pitch, (which I only found out about accidentally when I was younger / I'm always a half tone off when I'm emotionally upset!), and I like to think I know art from "not-art". And I will tell you one thing...

The last thing Chris Martin will ever have to do is... steal or borrow a beautiful melody, God made sure of that. In spades and more. Have a good close listen to White Shadows, with the power up. That is perfect art. At least for me, that is my experience. That song for me encapsulates everyhting they are. They can be power and fury, and then the light of creation. They do every emotion there is.

Everyone in the band is great, this group is like a musical perfect storm whose music is so powerful and uplifting it is just ludicrous to think that some one could steal that kind of creativity or what ever you want to call it.

Coldplay as a platform for Chris Martin? Yes, and they are the perfect match for all. Without him they would be like a rose with no top, and him without them, like Jimmy Stuart in "It's a Wonderful Life" that is an alternate reality which never happened. Together they are what they were born to be, separate they would have missed the journey of a lifetime.

To say that some one who today is regularily named as one of the most talented artist alive, will go down in history amongst the best artists to have ever composed and performed in any genre, is in need of copying another artist, is to see creation in a very two dimensional way.

Personally I think the guy is genius category, and by that I only mean that he is just like you and me. There is nothing any more special about him than you or me, except that he has open access to the power of music inside himself, which everyone has inside also, only they don't have the access. And it's God's secret why on the one hand we have people like Chris Martin and on the other we have people like Pol Pot. One man creates incredible art, and the other creates everlasting hell on earth (while it was happening / that was an eternity for them / or at least a very good time space continuum representation there of).

For me music is becoming more central to my life the more I focus on it. It's as though I am creating reality by focusing my desire on how I see myself in the future. It's not like I have a choice. It's like do it or suffer. Almost.

So may The Chris be with you as you as the universe unfolds in a completely unpredictable way.

"Oh brother I can't I can't get through

I've been tryin hard to reach you cause I don't know what to do

Oh brother I can't believe it's true

I'm so scared about the future and I want to talk to you

Oh I want to talk to you" cm

Byron, Shelly, Wordsworth, Frost, Shakepseare, Martin? Write that Joe Satrianni.

A world without ART is like a sun without LIGHT.

Great post epiphany. Its good to see a deeper perspective on the arguement.

Is Chris Martin the Son of God?

I know some of you may be surprised to know that I think Chris Martin is the Son of God, but then anythings possible, right? I mean about Him being the Son of God.

What I really want to know though is: how do I subscribe to the utube notification eml? And, would the Son of God judge me, for asking such things (of his supplicants) at such a sacred ground as this site dedicated to Him, and the band He leads, the best in this world and many others.

As I type, they are currently on a six month star voyage across the universe playing over 100 shows on 89 different planets stretching across no less than four quadrant light years at any given three locus points in the time space continuum. Can I come too? Camera allowed??

I love this band so much, they are so smooth and inspiring. A place to rest ones soul is what this music is, and that is priceless in a world just about gone right off the deep end.

No one knows what tomorrow will bring, and that's the problem with man, because we do not fully understand the ramifications of our predicament (existence) we just carry on in this dream like fashion with whatever comes to history, for lack of a better way of describing it. Maybe some higher race will come and save us from ourselves, because I really wonder if we are going to pull it off.

Here's hoping that all your tomorrows are filled with joy and happiness, but we all know that's not true. We all know in the end the cat dies and the people we love leave us and this world too soon.

Merry Xmas, and may the Chris be with you as you dream of a better world.

Addicted to Blood

I was watching the BBC news today and a story on Hamas came up on which they were showing an Hamas war training video as the voice ran and I was struck with Islams fascination for filming murder.

I am proud to say I have never been to any jihad website to take in a beheading or two. I don't "do" violent websites. Violence and violent people make me want to puke. Violent people of any category should all be put on a separate world where they could just get up every day, go to work (killing) and come home at night (or not) to a warm meal with the kids.

Is it the poverty? The complete lack of hope in a better life in this world which drives someone to die in order to be "happy"in the next, be it America or be it the one of Saladin. Violence is slowly becoming pandemic.

Has anyone noticed Mexico is (in the words of the current El Presidento of that country); "rapidly becoming ungovernable." Would Mr. El Presidento like to add anything to that? And the drug violence is spreading rapidly north to the US. The drug lords of Mexico build shrines in cemeteries, the size of a real hose, to their fallen angels of death in the bloodbath they call life.

Do you get the feeling that the Titanic has left port with no captain on board? I mean look at what's going in the world now.

This world is being run by fools, idiots and narsisists. Yes, as it turns out in present day reality, politics is really nothing more than a cult of personality, and the fall-out from this half-baked brain-dead outlook these pin heads cook up as public policy is exactly what you see outside your window today.

In Canada, where I live, the "Government" is putting together a "council of prominent canadians" to give the minister advice on how to avoid the oncoming freight train called world economic / environmental disaster (they don't see that / they see a "credit crisis). Tell me this, how will a bunch of people from the business community, who have not had an original idea in there head since since Christ left his body, how will people who fundamentally built the current world economic model of financial shamanism, how will they create one better? How will THEY ever fix this mess?

They simply do not have the awareness of understanding that life for profit is death for life.

And aah economic model based on that premise is guaranteed death for all, very soon.

It's a no brainer. Did Einstein go and talk to a bunch of experts when he stumbled on e=mc2? No, he went inside his own mind and there was the answer. When Chris Martin writes genius, does he call up Joe Satrianni and ask him for help ? (No, he calls me.)

The problem with most world leaders is they don't understand that the purpose of life is not what we have now in the world, and if we had an economic system which was in harmony with such a Utopian world, then everyone might be a little happier because, as little Euan was mentioned in that article about him, Chris and the harmonica; well he's a happy little camper with a dream, a life ahead of him, and a magic harmonica given to him by one of the most loved artists alive today. And that's what life can be, beauty, wonder and love. Not death, dying, blood and bones.

It's called develop your talent. God did not put anyone in this world to be so fucking bord and upset that you are going to make a life history of death, misery and pain, like is happening all over the world now. God gave everyone a talent to use to do good in the world. The whole plan is absolutely perfect, it's we who are missing the parade.

We are sleep walking to hell when we could be happy under the sun.

It's snowing in the rain forest and the ice age has come

We can't go back and it's only just begun

The illusion is that we think it is us who control reality

When in truth it is the other way around

As we still have yet learn
