Does he (phil) get paid like the rest of the band does???

 

Chris always says that Phil is the 5th member of Coldplay!...So what i want to know is if he gets paid like it..

 

The band gets paid in equal parts....So does that mean Phil gets paid equal aswell or not???

He wasn't their manager in the X&Y era... then he came back for this album

He's always been their "secret fifth member" but by the time X&Y came out he was freaked out enough by their success to run off to Australia for a while. If I remember right Chris said once he was getting his doctorate of psychology? (eta: been looking, can't find it.... maybe I'm going crazy...)

 

I really don't think finances are our buisness. I'm sure they take good care of him.

^^ I read that too but I also read somwhere that it was putting the names of people that work for coldplay and it had Phil under Performer!! and the only other people under that were the guys themselves sooo i guess he is officially the 5th member of coldplay!!

I have heard from very reliable sources that, in exchange for funding the band's first EP, he would receive 1% of everything they ever earned. Thus, it would seem that he's very well provided-for.

Handy you don't want to name these "very reliable sources", and I doubt it's 1% of their earnings

I think he gets a bigger share than 1%. They give Oxfam a bigger amount than 1%.

They give Oxfam 10%, thus my doubt.
