Some people think that it's new, some think that it's just a slightly different version of Strawberry Swing. I'm not really sure myself, but here are reasons for the possibility of it being a new song...

 

One.. People have used the fact that the lyrics "now my feet won't touch the ground" are in Strawberry Swing as a reason for it being a new version of SS. Well, we now know that the lyrics "now my feet won't touch the ground" are also in Life In Technicolor ii.. So that isn't really a valid point anymore.

One paragraph says:

 

"The Prospekt's March EP contains six recently-completed songs that were recorded during the Viva La Vida sessions and new versions of 'Lost' and 'Lovers In Japan'."

 

It does NOT mention a new version of Strawberry Swing. Maybe they're leaving it as a surprise or something, but I dunno.

 

What do you guys think? Sorry if this is a waste of a thread.... :confused:

Wasn't aware of the second point but that would certainly seem to imply that NMFWTTG will be a new song, which excites me a lot. A hell of a lot.

yeah, i always thought it was a song of it's own right! :D, I'm glad they are keeping this one secret for the mo! :D, I didn't really want to listen to the previews of the other songs but my curiousness took over! :lol:

I was always of this opinion on NMFWTTG; I figured SS was just a neat little reference to the vibe NMF would give. Since LiT ii now has the same phrase, it'll be really exciting to hear this song, because while it's new it sort of is a part of the whole VLV picture. I love it when musicians interconnect their music like this. :)

But... why, when the initial tracklisting put in, was it left out? Because they added this, lost+ and lovers at the end, which is what made me think it was just a demo of ss or something, but i totally agree with you all here.

I don't think Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground was on it. That was a later discovery in an interview or something of the sort

I think this is going to be the highlight of the EP, maybe the song they said everyone should hear before they die? If their not previewing it its got to be something great and a complete surprise.

Could Easily be a brand new song....don't forget 'World Turns Upside Down' and 'The World Turned Upside Down'. Almost the same title....2 completely different songs.
