I remember he said at the Chicago concert that the song, "The Dubliners" was gonna be on some kinda EP that they release in March... do you think they will or do you think that it's prospekt's march?

well i remember him saying that they were releasing some sort of EP in June of 2009 (to feature 'Lhuna' with Kylie Minogue) so maybe that's where it'll end up.

 

however, he also said the vocal version of 'Life In Technicolor' (part ii) was also going to be on it. but if that's already getting released on Prospekt's March, maybe this supposed June 2009 EP is canceled.

 

hopefully 'The Dubliners', 'School', 'Famous Old Painters', 'Goldrush' and 'Lhuna' get released at some point in time.

I was under the impression that they were saving all that good stuff for another new album...but IDK...:dozey:

Another EP next year wold be great but would probably be pushing it. I don't think it would be on the next album either. I would be out of its time. i don't know maybe they just wont be released...

What's School?

I think we're very lucky as it is to get Prospekts March. Maybe they anticipated doing it all along, but most bands have a large amount of material left over after the albums release, and they never release any of it.

 

I think getting Prospekts March might be one of the best things Coldplay has done for its fans.

 

I've never really been that interested in hearing Lhuna, but as for Famous Old Painters, The Dubliners, Goldrush...they've all sounded quite interesting.

 

Maybe they'll put out a 3 or 4 track EP at the beginning of next year, but I think that's pushing it.

 

I have a feeling the "new material" the band was recording after the album release was indeed the finishing touches of Prospekts March, and that with all the touring it would be very hard to devout much more time to finishing up the other songs.

 

If it happens it will be a tremendous thing, but I'm just so pleased that we get new songs in less than two weeks that whatever comes after is just a triple bonus.

I think the 'march EP' is actually PM that has been scheduled sooner than expected ^^ But the band confirmed they will probably release an new album at the end of 2009. They want to 'celebrate' their 10 years of success (OMG, already ten years that I'm addicted...time's a bitch! XD) but most importantly, they want to get ride of their contract with EMI....So the sooner, the better and our birds will be free to do whatever they want!
