mainstream popularity

mainstream popularity of the band created a huge bidding war among local promoters.

Three or four Coldplay shows have been earmarked in each state to make a profit from the tour.

"It will be interesting to see how it goes," said a tour insider

But I mean. If you get in the nosebleed section and get moved up to the front row it would be pretty good. I'll probably wanna buy the $145 ones anyway. This is COLDPLAY! I haven't seen them ever in live concert yet either. Can't wait.

I paid $120 last time they were here in Sydney. But if they are playing ACER arena, it's a step up from Ent Cent, so the price hike is reasonable.

happy birthday annie, I wasn't really around yesterday to say so :).

Well, I already cried in the Tour Rumours thread about this. I leave for Japan again on the 15th Feb, so there's no way I can see the boys this time around. It's a big poo, cos I've never seen them, and I'd like to just once. I was hoping they'd sneak in Aussie before Japan, but I know they need a break before doing the Australasian stint.

I'll have to make a hundred origami butterflies, put the fan on and pump up 'Lovers In Japan' in my own living room (or on the plane, haha).

That sounds fun

$145 a ticket? Fuck man, that's expensive :stunned: I thought it'd be more likely $120 and even that's pretty pricey

But hey, 3 or 4 dates in each state

Wonder if they'll be planning to go to places like Perth or Darwin... who knows

(just don't send them to Kiwi Land)

That's not racist, it's friendly rivalry between Australians and New Zealanders, much like the America/Canada rivalry. Or Melbourne/Sydney. DIE SYDNEYSIDERS :veryangry2::P

well i like coming to aussie , you guys are so friendly over there , even considering jumping the ditch to move there lol !!!!!!!

I am against cities altogether. Pro country!!!

I hate cities. I hate Hobart. Hobart should crawl in a hole and die.

(I must note, I hate upon New Zealand, Tassie and other cities in Aussie rather jokingly, otherwise I'd offend a lot of people :P)
