33 best albums of year: blender mag

Featured Replies

Blender Magazine came out with their list of 33 best albums of 2008....and it's not pretty

So found this on perez hilton: http://perezhilton.com/2008-11-25-blenders-top-33-albums-of-2008#respond

I beg to differ that COLDPLAY IS NUMBER 22 AND KATY PERRY IS 19??!?! What the heck is opposite day or something, but that is UNFAIR!

THEY SHOULD AT LEAST BE IN THE TOP TEN!

update:

oh and here is the official Blender page and an explanation why each album was chosen!!!!!!! :http://www.blender.com/33BestAlbumsof2008/articles/45690.aspx

If you've listened to many others on that list, 22 is actually very respectable.

I agree with some of the list, but I feel like Coldplay should be higher, but maybe i am too much of an avid fan..

I think I'm more disturbed Randy Newman is in the top ten than anything.

I know opinions are really subjective... and usually I don't passionately care.

But really Randy Newman????

katy perry and fall out boy above coldplay? I agree maybe lil wayne's because in rap it's agreat album but the other ones!

Hmmm...

I'm alright with Death Cab, Vampire Weekend, TV on the Radio...

But FOB and Katy Perry above Coldplay??? :\

i don't have a problem with lil wayne being one. cuz for its genre apparently its amazing.

It really isn't. It is a very overrated album, it has a couple of good songs there, but the rapping is above average but nothing compared to mos def, lupe fiasco, talib Kweli, or Jay-z. And the production is nothing compared to a Kanye album (except fr the most recent one which is meh).
