Help me, my precious music lovers

Featured Replies

This is actually a very simple thread, all I really want from you is zong tipz

My itunes library is overweight but right now all my music just sound plain boring so I need new fresh songs. I know all you people love music so it shouldn't be that hard to write down a few songs you like or maybe just your superdupermega-favourite song. I would like you more if you did :wink3:

Good Luck with this difficult wish of mine, precious coldplayers :daisy:

I'll finish this off with a pretty picture I found, just to get ya'll motivated

but the lounge is filled with pretty threads like this one :nice:

I can suggest a few albums for you:

Los Campesinos! - Hold On Now, Youngster...

Los Campesinos! - We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed

(yes 2 by the same band, but seriously awesome)

The Futureheads - The Futureheads

The Rumble Strips - Girls and Weather

Blood Red Shoes - Box of Secrets

John Frusciante - Shadows Collide With People

Good Shoes - Think Before You Speak

The Maccabees - Colour It In

The Sunshing Underground - Raise The Alarm

The Last Shadow Puppets - The Age of the Understatement

Sufjan Stevens - Illinois

Foals - Antidotes

Beirut - The Flying Club Cup

Mystery Jets - Twenty One

If you're interested in British music you've probably heard most of that anyway, ah well

Might be easier if you throw out some bands/albums that you currently have, so we can fill in the gaps...

Yeah tell us what you got and we'll give you what you don't

Yeah basically this ^^

cos I keep thinking of albums then having a second thought as you might already have it

So I just put a random selection of albums

Weell, i like Emiliana Torrini but you might know her already 'cause she's swedish..

Little Jackie is also quite nice. Especially a song called " the world should revolve around me"

I've been listening to "Inside A Boy" by My Brightest Diamond non-stop for two days, so that's about the only song I can think of.

Edit: Oh, listen to Gogol Bordello, too.

Hey Rosetta! - Into Your Lungs

Broken Social Scene Presents - Brendan Canning

TV on the Radio - Dear Science

Apostle of Hustle - Folkloric Feel

Stars - Set Yourself on Fire

Elbow's new album The Seldom Seen Kid is amaaazing. Give that a try, I say!

And glad to see a Beirut fan here. Nice choice there, Nathan!

The British band- Ben's Brother, just YouTube them or something, THEY ARE IMMENSE!

And all cool British bands!, sorry but, we are the best! :nice:

Canadian indie music is the best I say.

Canadian indie music is the best I say.

:shocked2:

YOU SWINE!

:P

I do listen to alot of British bands (mostly Radiohead)....but my favourite as a whole is Canadian indie. Do you listen to many Canadian bands?

Canadian indie music is the best I say.

Ditto!

Also, try Bruno Pronsato if you like more electronic music (I'm not too good with genres, but this is probably minimalistic)

Asobi Seksu is also quite ok.

Beck, if you don't listen to him already.

Bell X1

Yelle if you like funny French music :D

DJ Shadow

Metric

Modeselektor

etc.

Yeah, she is! In one song she's mocking of two French rappers and in another she curses boys. :D
