Being Christian (technically - I don't actually go to church or anything), I've never really thought about how weird it must be for people of other faiths around this time of year. I mean, we're bombarded with images of Christmas wherever we go.

I'm watching Paramount Comedy at the moment today, and all they're showing are Christmas episodes of their programmes.

Read an interesting article from IMDB about Jewish parents deciding what to to let their children watch over the holiday season: http://www.slate.com/id/2206361/

when i was in elementary school i was livng abroad (norway and the philippines), and i studied in an international school... and in december we only celebrated christmas... trees and exchanging presents and everything.... and all the school vacations were according to the chritian holidays...

i think there is something wrong about that when u study in an international school... i dont even remember them mentioning hanukkah

well, im not relegious anyway, but i that is something to think about

That is bizarre! You'd think international schools would have it sussed?

When I went to High School Britain was in a grip of political correctness. In RE lessons, we studied every religion except Christianity. The teachers were so concerned about not excluding other religions, they completely forgot about our own!

The irony is I now teach at a Catholic school. And in their RE classes they do two weeks per year on one other religion, and that's it.

oh, the holiday armadillo.

they better play that episode sometime this week.

i don't celebrate hanukkah, but i hope everyone who does has a great one! happy holidays!

*goes to watch friends*

Happy Hanukkah everyone :)

happy hannukah

thanks to explain us why you celebrate that green eyes88. :nice:

that must be there, here i have the feeling that we aren't that christian now... i mean we don't bombard that way

i mean the fact that we decorate streets and commerces now that to christians happen to be xmas... is not the same now, for the commerce is just to invest on make their products be more attractive, so they sell more units just that.

anyways i don't want to discuss about this things.
