January 24, 200917 yr I would rather spend my money on buying a debut album from an unknown band, U2 doesn't really need the money (seeing as they are ripping fans off royally with 5 different versions) I don't agree. Fans do not have to buy all these things. It's only a rip-off when the only available way to get the album is $20 or more. U2 is packaging a lot of stuff together for some of these formats, so it's some bang for your buck if you want it. I personally want a U2 poster and always like to read as much literature as I can about them. If I had to buy the $100 package to get this album I'd be pissed. But I don't have to. I can if I want. I don't like how people act like fans are getting ripped off. It's the fans choice. Like when U218 came out. Fans didn't have to buy this at all. They should not get angry about a compilation album coming out if they do not have to buy it. I'm a fan of tons of bands but I don't get material of theirs again if I already own it.
October 1, 200916 yr Author Well this year the group 3 types have been reduced in numbers (looking at the pre-order charts) Group 2s have increased (Keane, Elbow, Madness, Radiohead plus many more) Jolly good :D

I'm a fan of tons of bands but I don't get material of theirs again if I already own it. Good point, but then why do they put new tracks on them? I was in that dillemma recently with new Madonna GH. It had two new tracks on it, so I bought it because of them. If they had released them as singles (physical, NOT digital) then I wouldn't be bothered by the fact I spent $20 on essentially two songs. Side note, I don't own any U2 albums, but I find U218 is perfect for non-fans like myself.
October 2, 200916 yr I would rather wait for the deluxe version. because if you buy the first version of the album, you'll feel(well for me) that you've wasted money because u got to buy again an album with the same tracks only, with new added stuff. But deluxe version is a good stuff to buy.
October 2, 200916 yr I cant really stand with group 2 and 3 :dozey: like Keane are doing now, with Hopes and Fears Album, they are realesing now a deluxe edition with standard album plus something else, extra songs or something, but if you buy the album online, you can get that and shirt !! that make me really angry lol i really wanted the shirt, but not the album again :wacky: and when an album is out , between a standard version and deluxe edition i always pick the deluxe one ..even if im not that real fan P.s- sorry my english mistakes :drunk::blush:
