Ghosts and the supernatural

Featured Replies

We call 'em UFO's (Unidentified Flying Saucer) here. I've never heard the term OVNI.

OVNI = Objeto Volador No Identificado

OVNI = Objet Volant Non-Identifié

OVNI = Oggetto Volante Non Identificato

OVNI = Objecto Voador Não Identificado

OVNI = Orchestre à vents Non-Indentifié

I still call it ufo as well hah.

And no, i don't believe in ghosts

Yeah, I sorta knew that but I wasn't sure. I haven't spoken Spanish since I left Spain. If you don't speak then you lose it and I did.

Well, i've never spoken any of those languages (only a bit of Italian) but google is my best buddy :heart:

I could've googled the term but I was just being too lazy. LOL!

Easy...it's faith. Just because one can not see it does not mean it does not exist nor does it mean that it does exist.

What proof is there for ghosts other than people's heads tricking them into thinking they saw something they didn't?

How many times have you thought you heard a voice only for it to be the wind or something, most of what you see is not actually what you see with your eyes, your brain recognises patterns and fills in the gaps, it's how you can see faces in things and it's exactly why people think they have seen a ghost

If ghosts were real, why are there not billions everywhere? Only a few hanging out in creepy dark abandoned places? Fuck off.

LOVE ghost hunters, but i'm a skeptic.

i'm athiest, so i guess that explains why. :P

i really really want to believe in the afterlife, that's why i watch these shows. and you know, they have some really amazing 'evedince'. i don't know if it's edited, but it looks pretty real. i really really want to believe.

i've also had some really odd experiences. my grandfather died when i was about 3, and my mom and aunt always thought he was still around our house. a little after that happened, the radio in our house started changing to oldies, and would change until it found something that my father liked... like frank sinatra. it was really, really creepy. maybe a coincidence.. i dunno. :uhoh:.

Where are your manners? Geez!

Just because one can not see it does not believe it does not exist. Can you see God? Does God exist? BTW... How do you know there are not billions everywhere? You only want to see something physical. You want a ghost to appear in front of you and say "Hi, I'm a ghost. Let me move this to prove it. Here, take a picture of me"

ust because you do not believe in them does not mean that they do not exist. When one does not believe in things then they will ignore anything that can or could be a sign of proof, just like if one believes in these things then they will take things as proof.

If you had read my comments then you would know that I have not any experience with ghosts but I do believe that they do exist. Since you don't believe in them then why are you even concern about whether or not someone believes it them?

A ghost would say that you should take your own advice and ......:D

Geez was there any need to post that twice? And also was there any need to be so abrupt?

Yes ghosts are found in abandoned places, but they can also be found in places that are still in use. In New Zealand, there is the Waitomo Caves Hotel that is haunted but it's still in use. And the same goes for the Vulcan Hotel down south.

There is an abandoned psychiatric hospital near Auckland and that's haunted.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ahihjdp_Us]YouTube - Ghost Hunt footage[/ame]

This is footage from the New Zealand TV series Ghost Hunt.

Those articles were interesting. There was a quote in one of them that I can relate to. The writer talked about not having experience anything but felt weird in some places, and that was how I felt when I was at Gettysburg. I didn't see anything but I felt weird, especially in certain parts like Devil's Den or the area where Picket's Charge took place. You may not see anything but your gut tells you something is off but you really don't know what it is that is making you feel that way.

Gonna have to check them out and post them.

The show that was aired live on Gettysburg....well, some interesting things happened during the live broadcast. I wonder if the clips are on Youtube.

Where is this place in auckland?

Where is this place in Auckland?

The abandoned psychiatric hospital is near Auckland, but I'm not sure exactly where it is, because on the Ghost Hunt TV series, the hospital's name and exact location were kept a secret in respect of the many patients who suffered abuse and torture there.

It's up to you whether you believe in ghosts or not, but there are many people (myself included) who do believe in them.

And please can you keep your negative opinions about other people to yourself?

Oh would have been interesting to know where it was.

I have not seen all of Bones's first and second seasons because of my classes. Unfortunately, one of my classes was only offered at night so I ended up missing some.

I don't have shows on DVD. I need to start buying some.

Do you watch Criminal Minds? I really like that show.

I haven't seen much of Bones but I've liked the episodes I have seen, he is so different in it though!!.
