Ghosts and the supernatural

Featured Replies

I as so upfront about it cos I really have no patience and can't be bothered to explain to a fuycking idiot why ghosts don't exist

Not believeing in something does not make you narrow minded

I'm an idiot. Thank you! I consider that a compliment since it's coming from someone like you.

If you don't have the time to be bothered with this topic then explain to me Einstein why on earth are you wasting time reading the posts and posting in this thread?

And yes, you are narrow minded in the fact that you refuse to accept that some believe in something even if you don't agree with them. I may not agree with some people but I least have the manners to respect other's opinions and beliefs. That is the difference between a mature person and an immature person.

Now, I'm not going to respond to any more of your posts because you're not worth my time or effort.

What would be the point in refusing that you believe? I'm not an idiot, you do believe, it is in my well thought out opinion that you are wrong

Oh would have been interesting to know where it was.

I would also like to know the location of the hospital. I do know there is an abandoned psychiatric hospital known as Lake Alice and I think that's the one that is near Auckland.

I don't know what to make of this. It's someone's video from Gettysburg.

We have Most Haunted on the Travel Channel. I'll try and post some of their vids here.

Here is a clip from Most Haunted where they are at Eastern Penitentiary in Pennsylvania.

I know I wouldn't go in any place that looked spooky. :laugh3:

...If ghosts were real, why are there not billions everywhere? Only a few hanging out in creepy dark abandoned places? Fuck off.

cells, for example, make up everything we know, there are billions of them everywhere, but there are few big enough for us to see. so, for supernatual, lets replace size with energy, maybe there are only a few that put off enough energy for humans to sense/see them?

...Fuck off.

now that my point is made, i can tell my story:smug:

once me and a mate were just hanging out in her house and taking random pictures(we were being dorks and playing ghosthunters:P) and there was a glare in one of them that kinda looked like the arm and part of the face of a person, but just barely. to this day she thinks it was a poltergeist beacause a candle tipped over and burnt all of the pictures we took:(

also, one night i had a stomach ache so i went to my family room and watched a movie. when i sat down there was a glimer by the door, but it barely had a shape except for what looked like a hand. oddly, i wasnt scared at all, but felt rather comfortable so i just stared there until it seemed to have left. but that may have been one of my crazy delusions. in fact, horrificattack, i guess if what you say is true then we are all basically insane phsycopaths that belong in a padded room because were either delusional or all dirty liars...

Especially at night because then it would be even more spooky and you never know what could be there.

Ah yeah I have heard of that one then.

Other haunted places we have here are Larnach Castle and The Fortune Theatre in Dunedin, Kinder House and Ewelme Cottage in Auckland and The St James Theatre in Wellington. There are several more haunted sites but I can't remember them all.

What energy? What are you talking about? You can't compare size of cells to "energy" in ghosts. Do you realise how ridiculous that is? How/why would some have more "energy" (please I'd like you to explain what this energy is and how it affects the ability of others to see the thing)

The whole idea of ghosts annoys me generally because it suggests we have a "soul" which we don't. The idea of us having a soul also leads onto bigger things like the existence of God, which is also not true. Like, what are your theories for ghosts existing, why are they there?

So believing in Ghosts is not just seeing a white thing flying past, it questions everything about life and death, but comes out with the wrong answers

Yes but as I tried to explain earlier, your brain fools you into thinking you have seen something when you haven't as it draws most of the image inside your head rather than showing you exactly what is there. You'll see something which has a few similarities to a face/human and your brain will draw in the rest so you recognise it as a face/human, same thing happens with sounds, for example mistaking the wind for a voice. I suggest you read up on biology.

So seeing is believing now? Not so long ago you were telling me some bullshit about faith and just cos you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there...

Like I said, what "energy" you can't just throw that term around without really knowing what you are talking about, what "energy" are they using? How do they use it? How do some have more than others and how do they take it from us? Your "answers" simply open up to more questions

And thanks for ignoring every other point I made.

Ghosts use our energy when they manifest themselves. They are real as there have been many sightings.

:laugh4:

and thanks for ignoring every point we all made:)

since your all about "facts" and proven points then heres something i found off some website:http://www.iprfinc.com/brian26.html

According to recent studies on paranormal belief in a number of major American demographics, between 55% and 75% (depending on which study you read) of the U.S. population believes in paranormal occurrences. With the popular resurgence of belief in the paranormal happening nationwide we see that many believe in paranormal phenomenon but are less sure about the mechanics and causation of these manifestations.

Unfortunately, it would seem that for the public at large, the explanation and substantiation of paranormal phenomenon has been unaccountably and undeniably dropped into the careless, palsied hands of the quacks and buffoons who create TV “reality” crocumentaries. For a moment, let’s move beyond the bright lights of the circus-like atmosphere produced by the façade of dramatic television sensationalism and take a serious look at what paranormal manifestations are made of.

This is Your Brain

I’m sure that at one point or another you have seen a person in a cartoon with a light bulb that appears over their head when they get an idea. That euphemism is more accurate than you may know. Your brain runs on a regulated 60 Hz electrical pulse that is created by your heart (see Haunted Times Magazine Vol. 1, Issue 1, Fall 2005 pp. 9 article: The Origins of Ghosts) and the electrical pulse that is being generated is equivalent to a constant 12 watts of electricity - enough to power a flashlight!

Dr. Janusz Slawinki, a Polish physicist, has proposed that this electrical current within the body builds at a geometric rate becoming exponentially charged to more than 1000 times that of the normal rate when DNA is decaying. What this potentially means is that for a brief period of time after death the decaying body can produce nearly 12,000 watts of electricity. Slawinki, writing in the Journal of Near Death Studies, commented that a dying organism emits what he termed a “light shout,” a burst of bioelectricity that is more than one thousand times greater than at the normal resting state.

First Things First: The First Law of Thermodynamics

The bioelectric energy released from the human body at the time of death, as cited by Slawinki, is subject to the same laws of physics that all other types of Electromagnetic energies are. One of these laws, the First Law of Thermodynamics, states that energy in any form is infinite but not necessarily cyclic. This means that energy, no matter what form it takes, will always maintain mass, a specific gravity, and will be infinite in nature, meaning that it can not be destroyed; only changed from one form to another. The whole thought behind the First Law of Thermodynamics is fairly simple and straightforward as it states: “The change of energy in a thermodynamic system is equal to the heat transferred minus the work which is done.” More simply stated one could say: “Energy can not be created nor destroyed, only transformed from one state or form to another with a certain small percentage being lost as heat energy.” This would mean, in a sense, that the 60 Hz bioelectric impulses from your heart cannot be destroyed; only changed. With this answer we now have another question: What happens to this bioelectrical charge as it is released when the reaper comes knocking – do we all become ghosts?

Although the normal bioelectric field in the body, now exponentially multiplied, is transformed in both configuration and existence due to the lack of a physical body not everyone becomes a ghost. The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that “…energy is dispersed from a core source and will radiate outward from that source until it is acted upon by another force.” Sometimes however, for whatever reason, during this dispersion the Second Law of Thermodynamics is circumvented and the energies do not radiate back into the environment upon death. When the Second Law of thermodynamics is circumvented the bioelectric energy coagulates in the local environment until it becomes self-aware again and thusly becomes a ghost. Now the real questions are how and why is the Second Law of Thermodynamics circumvented?

well, i guess youre right, i cant replace mass for energy...i can just keep it the same:smug:

When ghosts manifest themselves, they do so in light form (orbs) or as mist form (ectoplasm). They can pick up on our energy.

and thanks for ignoring every point we all made:)

GHOSTS ARE REAL I SAW ONE LOL is not a point.

Nor is saying things they do without any evidence at all

I really would have preferred if you had answered my questions yourself rather than copying and pasting it from a website that uses big words to try and look clever.

I actually feel sorry for you.

The St James Theatre has two ghosts that I know of.

They are Yuri a Russian ballet dancer who fell to his death and an actress who committed suicide after she was booed off the stage. Her ghost is known as the Wailing Woman and she has been known to cause the theatre lifts to malfunction.

This is the old morgue situated a short distance from the abandoned hospital near Auckland. The morgue looks like a very forbidding place. The photo is in the Ghost Hunt book I've got.

i didnt say I actually saw a ghost, i put stories of what i thought might be a ghost, and please, there is no need to feel anything for me. i was just supporting people on this thread that beliave in ghosts by posting what i found on a site. and yes, it did sound clever, but i dont try to LOOK clever, i do try to be clever, but im not an illusionist.

and the site did answer one of your questions, but since when did ghosts do stuff with the energy they use?? i never said anything about that, but i dont think that they exactly purposely expose themselves, nor do i think that they DO anything with that energy...

So they just hide and show themselves occasionally for a laugh?

I can't be bothered to "argue" about this, I'm surprised I got this far, have fun believing in ghosts, look out for Vampires and Werewolves for me as well would you?

Ghosts show themselves when they want to, though they do sometimes appear on request.

It's not known if Yuri was pushed or if he fell, but some people think that he may have been pushed.
