Ghosts and the supernatural

Featured Replies

When ghosts manifest themselves, they do so in light form (orbs) or as mist form (ectoplasm). They can pick up on our energy.

This is true, most people can either not grasp it,or they cannot open their minds to it.

I'm not pointing fingers, and I'm not on anybody's "side" of this.

But it is annoying when people try to convince others that ghosts are real.

HOWEVER, the same goes for people trying to convince others that ghosts don't exist.

They're both opinions, and there's really no evidence to prove neither of those facts.

So, there's no point in arguing when both parties are basically shoving their beliefs (or lack there of) on each other's faces.

Whatever happened to respect other people's opinions even though you may think differently?

^Fair enough!

So they just hide and show themselves occasionally for a laugh?

I can't be bothered to "argue" about this, I'm surprised I got this far, have fun believing in ghosts, look out for Vampires and Werewolves for me as well would you?

honestly?

okay, this was all immature and i apologize. lets leave it with we both had good points and we cant prove our arguments ourselves:)

this thread is going fowl:( and i was parttaking in it, i feel terrible, so sorry to everyone on this board:cry:

^^^There's no need to apologize. I liked what you wrote and you provided many interesting details.

Boo! I could have been a ghost!:P

Apparitions are real, as real as anything we can imagine; for imagination is more powerful than....

That's it!! Imagination is more important than Knowledge!! Uncle Albert said that!:inquisitive:

I do respect other people's opinions but yeah sometimes I get involved in arguments. I accept that some people don't believe in ghosts.

On the way to Wellington there is a stretch of road that's said to be haunted by the ghost of a hitch hiker who was run over while trying to find his way home one night. His ghost has been known to appear in people's cars at night.

I like such threads, so here's my story:

I don't know what to think about ghosts. If people say, they saw a ghost, then I respect that, because they have no other explanation for that. Even if it was a hallucination or something else.

I believe not in this spooky-white-and-flying-around-ghost-thingy, I rather believe in them as strange happenings you can't explain (as coldplay_is_louve said before, with the radio changing to the oldies).

My mother once said to me, that her father always wanted to live in France when he gets old. But he died at my birth, and later my mom went to our house in France and put her father's favourite hat on a closet in the dining room.

There was no wind, the closet was totally flat on its top, but everytime my Mom went past it, the hat flew on her head! And it only happened to her.

After she told me about that, I took the hat and put it at the very end on the closets flat, almost pressed it against the wall behind. And what happened?

The hat still flew on her head

My grandpa's ghost has such a childish behaviour, lol...

Nothing? Cos they don't exist? You're right that is surprising

Like I said to you before, it's up to you whether you believe in ghosts or not.

My grandad was psychic. I remember a time when he knew that there was something wrong over here. He lived overseas at the time.

It's true.

My sister is part psychic. Years ago she had a dream in which she was on a cable car cable with a blonde haired kid on her chest. The kid fell off towards the river below and as it fell, it turned over and was a boy. The next day we got a phone call from Germany to tell us that my cousin's little boy had drowned in a pond.

See this is ludicrous, but you ignore every other dream she ever had because this one dream so happened to share 2 things which are BARELY comparable. SHE MUST BE PSYCHIC
