I've seen Monfils play on several occasions and he blows too hot and cold. You're not going to win too many tournaments playing that way. You need to be ultra-consistent, like Fed.

I'm not sure he has the mentality to play that way, as he seems to like showing off too much (as he did against Roddick).;)

I don't think he really intents to show off, it's more like a way to evacuate the pressure (like screaming and hitting his chest :p) but again, I'm French so I might be biased in my opinion of him :lol:
